He is a streaky player but I find it amazing how Vanek gets blasted for his defensive woes when moulson is probably in the top five for worst defensive players ive see in my life. Hiw that guy gets a pass for completely disappearing and mailing it in is beyond me for as long as he has? Right now Therien and hab fans are looking for a scape goat and who better than the new guy? Thats how it usually works. Putting a pretty elite scorer on your fourth line to send a message when youre down 2-0 to a team firing on all cylinders is moronic IMO especially when your team cant seem to score. Its one thing in the middle of the season its another thing when youre playing for your life. When they give him ten mins of ice time and no pp time and lose the next game they'll all blame him for not scoring. He hasnt been tearing it up but he hasnt been the reason they're losing either.

The only reason he is a scapegoat is because he is the highest paid player on the team. He is a big body, is known for getting in the goalies area and scoring. So far, he is doing almost none of that. Rented player, so you can only shake your head (better than Gomez, right?). I wish he would play with a bit more of an edge... take an interference penalty for being on top of the goalie on occasion... etc; however, at this point in the NYR series, he has been pedestrian.
