I cant see a realistic way to get sutter to sign here for anything that makes cap sense so who are your guys to fill center and bottom 6 out? Also if you are trading martin and playing the young guys you may as well get of fluery and bring in someone who isnt going to be a contender anyways and wait for jarry - duffman1368
not to mention he f'ing sucks |

Do the Jets view Sutter as a second line center? And why would Edmonton trade Eberle for Neal?
And Martin can get much more then a 2nd IMO |

Eric Majeski @LGP_netwolf 1h
Niskanen is in demand on @capgeek. Been included on 253 rosters, more than anyone else. Stastny is 2nd at 153, then Gibbons?!? 3rd at 150.

Peg wants to rid itself of Kane, but won't take Sutter and Adams.
Edmonton doesn't do Neal for Eberle. If they trade Eberle, its for a D guy
So, you trade Pittsburgh's best Dman for a second round pick?
I want to get rid of Scuds, but only for a pick. I don't want to see another bad contract coming back.

The Pens' biggest problem is team defense. The offense plays risky hockey that results in lots of turnovers, odd man breaks, and breakaways while the defense pinches too often and gets worn out by having to constantly cover for both their own mistakes and the offense's mistakes.
Goalie stats take into account the number of shots against, not the quality of those shots. I doubt many goalies in the league typically face the quality of shots that MAF faces. Unless there is a goalie out there equivalent to Hasek in his prime I don't think that replacing him will help much - if anything it can make the situation worse. Sure, Vokoun looked better in the playoffs last year and Zatkoff looked good for the most part when he played this year but the team played differently in front of them. The team backed off the offense somewhat and played more responsible defensively. I am not sure if Crosby and Malkin would be happy doing this long term. |

Pouliot out 4-6 months - nh4442
"Pittsburgh Penguins defense prospect Derrick Pouliot had successful shoulder surgery Wednesday and is expected to miss 4-6 months.
The 20-year-old had shoulder labral repair surgery.
Pouliot, the eighth pick in the 2012 NHL Draft, was named the Western Hockey League Defenseman of the Year after helping the Portland Winterhawks advance to the WHL championship series.
Pouliot led WHL defensemen in the playoffs with 32 points (five goals, 27 assists) and had a career-high 70 points (17 goals, 53 assists) during the regular season."
Pretty good sign that he could put up those numbers in the playoffs playing through a shoulder injury. |

That sucks! I tore my labrum and had surgery from an adult hockey game. It really sucks. I think Kesler had a similar injury. Anyway, atleast it wasn't his rotator cuff, that's like 9-12 months recovery. But I think that's a rare hockey injury though. Good thing we have like 900 D prospects ready to step up sometime in the next 5 yrs! |
