I think people have parlayed things from the tournament into talking points.

Giving Schenn the proper linemates has been a topic of discussion well before the tournament.

Moving Read up into more of a scoring role has been discussed as well.

I don't think the anyone believes the Flyers are going to be able to give Schenn a winger like Nathan McKinnon.

- PhillySportsGuy

The thing is, Schenn need to show he can be consistent, or at least more consistent. Hopefully they can move VL out, maybe get a good winger in FA or trade and get not only Schenn good, consistent wingers, but also do the same for Couturier.

Very simple, you start with Voracek.

That shouldn't be discounted at all. Much as I like Giroux & Voracek, it's not written in stone that they have to play together.

EDIT: Honestly, if they can't move Lecavalier this summer, play him on Giroux's RW.

?-Giroux-Simmonds
?-Schenn-Voracek
?-Couturier-Read

Analysis: Our LW depth sucks

I think you could plug Hartnell with Schenn & Voracek and be solid. Also, if they can't move Vinny, he can be tried as Giroux's RW

We weren't the best 5v5 team.

If Giroux and Voracek are our two most talented forwards, I don't see why having them on the same line moving forward makes any sort of sense. Let them work their magic on the power play.

But 5v5? Were shooting ourselves in the foot by having them on the ice together. They are both excellent at making the players around them better.

The logic is as sound as a pound. Really is. Spread the two most dynamic guys around who can drive play and re-unite them late when a goal is needed and on the PP...

I'm checking www.flyers.com/careers I want you running a PP or something.

I don't understand this need of worry to get Schenn "proper" wingers to play with. I feel the Flyers still need to find a balance as a whole. No disrespect to Voracek and Hartnell but Giroux doesn't nearly have the support Getzlaf has with Perry of Crosby if he needs Malkin, Neal or Kunitz. I think we should worry about getting our captain to that next level.

Exactly; the Flyers are only helped by having Schenn and Couturier be more consistent.

It shouldn't be a case where we throw two of the youngest players on the roster to the wolves every season, trying to carry guys. It would be nice to give them the kind of players who help them be better.

i wouldnt do that if you were you guys either. its my point.

giroux, by essence of voracek, has better linemates than crosby. crosby does not play with neal, and other than doubling down with crosby and malkin on the same line, he doesnt really play with him either.

so this notion that giroux needs support "like crosby" is misplaced. he already has better guys.

I do believe that if Vinny's back, they're gonna have to try something like that, early on.

It's the only thing they have left to try, and maybe if you have Raffl or someone else who can skate and is defensively responsible on the LW...hell. They might have to try something like that and really mean it.

I hear you, but I really, really dont like Lecavlier on the wing. Way to slow. If someone's being forced to the wing, I think it's gotta be Schenn.

This is the problem we've had all year; four centers for three slots. I'd rather the younger player get the opportunity, but the older player has a contract that is going to be tough to move.

Trust me, we've tried to figure out everything/anything to make this work.

I'm sure there weren't 42 other players chosen before PK in that draft who were better than he was. But only the Flyers are laughable in the book of the fake Flyer fan from N Jersey.

Corey is a writer, cover major junior and has good insight

Fiala is a good prospect, could be in play when Flyers draft

No idea, a guy on twitter that asked Corey a question
