Yep....
Finally some action - Whiskey-Tango
Jeez, if Benning gets hired and he then hires Trotz, do they cancel each other out as good news? I hesitate to call anything I've seen out of the Preds in the last decade and a half as "action". |

Gotta say I'm not exactly doing cartwheels over Benning either, but he does seem a solid choice (more so than Gillis ever was when hired) so I'll back it. If he hires Trotz though... |

No doubt, though i wonder how these Trotz rumors have surfaced, for one Benning was a little busy over the last few weeks and i doubt he has really gotten into meat and potatoes of the franchise while Trev himself stated that a coaching decision would fall under the direction of the GM. Thus, how can one favor a specific coach without first hiring a GM, at which point the decision would be his? |

You know how these rumors get started. Two guys that had some sort of friendship back in the day bump into each at the elevator going to an event and voila, they are intimately linked in some sort of future business venture (e3).
My favorites are when a player played somewhere in junior and "would love" to go back (e4), or a new coach gets assigned that used to coach his cousin in juniors is clearly desperate to get the player because, you know, his cousin was gushing about him in the locker room for years (e3).
