As slanted as you may think that offer was, it would take something like that to get Couture, who's not available anyway. |

That's a little racist suggesting white is the supreme colour. |

I think it's a fair offer tbh. The reason I regretted it was because the Canucks could get 2-3 solid pieces off a Kes deal, and still keep the 6th overall pick.
I see two options when it comes to a Kes deal.
A) Package him for a untouchable like Couture. In this situation the Canucks are most likely to overpay, and they're most likely "retooling".
B) Trade Kesler for a package that includes a young, high ceiling, player + picks. This is probably more of a rebuild situation.
The reason I regretted posting the deal was cause I'd rather the Canucks not "overpay" in any deal right now. They've wasted a bunch of organizational depth to end up in in mans land, and I'd rather the new regime avoid that. |

I actually like that thinking but not Edler. Markstrom plus ? Would probably be better. |

You would think Rask is the guy for the next 5 years so I don't think it would be that high. |

I think Paccoriety will be attempting a Lucic on Lundquist tonight and that PK will be attempting to make Kreiderhosen if Kreider gets anywhere near him. |

I would have taken that trade you offered for Couture and without asking any questions.
Nabbing a 25 year old 1C for a banged-up 2C on the downside of his career, a 3rd liner, and a #6 which will likely end up as a 2nd liner in about 3 years time (if everything goes well)? I say absolutely.
1Cs are notoriously difficult to get and the Sharks would be ruining their future to make that trade. We on the other hand would be able to transition the Sedins to the 2nd line as early as next season, provided we bring in at least 1 established top6 winger for the Couture line. |
