Pretty sure he's not going anywhere. He's the only youngster with any size that has top 6 ability. I think he's the heir apparent to Hossa's spot when he eventually either declines to bottom 6 status or retires. At least tight now, but things change. Shaw drives me nuts, million dollar talent/heart...ten cent head.

We beat San Jose in 2010 WCF, LA last year, so Anaheim this year to complete the Cali trifecta sounds nice, but honestly I've given up hoping for one matchup over the other...always seem to regret it.

Would like it to go 7 just for the added rest so rooting for LA in game 6, other than that, don't really care.

I'm not sure if it's just Minny's style of play or what, but the Hawks look spent to me. I won't be shocked if they go down in flames in the next series. Lucky to get past Minny who outplayed the Hawks for long stretches of that series. Crawford with several "goalie wins" who'd of thunk it?

That's why they shouldn't trade him. Won't get much in return and he can still be a great player in a more structured system. Thank God we're getting a new coach. Bylsma is a great guy, but the fact the team was constantly a clusterfu*k defensively was squarely on him.

I can't remember too much of the details, but I think Kariya had some restriction on his salary that year with ducks rejecting his qualifying offer...why it was a 1 year deal, so he could be a full UFA the following year or something...they signed him for a million bucks bc of it all, seemed weird to me at the time

Sadly that was the first year of the Aebischer era, we weren't a cup contender with that bum in net, both of them should have been smarter than that to pick the Avs with him in net haha
