That's what I would offer, you would need those other assets to play with Malkin. |

My understanding is, like AV, Trotz was not very good in working/developing the young talent (and no, Jones doesn't count as he already had all the tools and hockey sense even before he was drafted. In fact, out of this year's rookie class, I have to say that Jones has impressed me the most (MacKinnon's play was expected) due to just how seamlessly he integrated into the system, playing huge minutes and being one of their best players.
Edit: Jones at only 19 is already a franchise defenseman. Just surreal |

I'm actually Trevor Linden... I've been monitoring this blog looking for potential GM candidates. Congrats Vantel, you're hired.
Additionally, to keep season's ticket holders pleased, we've given Mike Gillis a lifetime ban from Rodgers Arena. |

Gillis is being interviewed for GM in Washington, he is as good as gone.
And no thanks to the GM offer it would cut into my HB time and Asian Hooker time |

Vantel, on a slightly different topic, I'm wondering if you've noticed the significant decline in Malkin's production the last few years (let's strike out the one bounce-back year which you/we also did as concerns Henrik's 112 point season in terms of being an anomaly)
2008-2009 - 113 points in 82 games
2009-2010 - 77 points in 67 games - pro-rated 94 points in 82 games (same year that Henrik had 112 points in 82 games)
2010-2011 - 37 points in 43 games - pro-rated 70 points in 82 games (same year Henrik had 94 points in 82 games)
2011-2012 - 109 points in 75 games (strike this year out as a bounce back anomoly)
2012-2013- 33 points in 31 games - pro rated to 87 points in 82 games
2013-2014 - 72 points in 62 games - 88 points in 82 games
As you can see, since 2008-2009 we''ve seen a drop off of 25 points to levels of point-per-game status. Yikes!
A few more fun facts:
Games played since 2006 - Henrik - 610
Games played since 2006 - Malkin - 518
Cap hits - Henrik - $7 million through 2017
Cap hits - Malkin - $9.5 million through 2019-2020
Only major diffference in favour of Malkin is age
So, who provides the better over-all value and production? |

Lets go share a grilled-cheese sandwich at The #5 Orange to discuss this further. I would even throw in a lifetime membership to my shi**y fitness facilities. |

We are talking about using stats only as a basis of analysis, which is what Vantel did as concerns the Twins |

Your basis for Sedins value/production was based on STATS only. |

It would have been interesting to see how Henrik/Daniel would have done playing with Crosby, Letang, Kunitz, Neal etc etc. And conversely, how much success Malkin would have playing with plugs most of his career |

You are so wrong . There are so many levels as why I dislike having the twins on the Canucks . Declining stats, is just one reason. Lack of toughness and leadership is another. Taking ice time from young players . Puck hogs . Do we really need to get into this crap again? I have been quiet for days about them, let's just all keep quiet and see how they do next year.
BTW it is mostly Daniels contract I dislike but like everything in their life it has to be done together. One can't fart without the other stinking.
I still think Henrik is a top line center but because he needs to hold his brothers hand he is a 14 mil dollar center. |

Right, sorry.
I imagine Ekland will be breaking the Sedins and Kesler to Pittsburgh rumour shortly. (E16 Confirmed epic blockbuster) |
