For sure, but if you're team just coincidentally happens to call up a player who does that on more than one occasion you'll start seeing some hefty suspensions/fines for the coach/gm/owner and players. And other teams will start doing the same to you. You better have team built like the Kings/Bruins that thrive on that or you'll get thin pretty quick.

Not to mention that you'll start seeing refs being biased against your team and such. Other GM's will hate you, making trades more difficult, and etc.

You just can't be so blatant about it, that's all I'm saying. No way in hell was I cool with Daniel playing the punching bag role, that was (frank)ing embarrassing to me as a fan of this team.

It's not that I don't agree with you that the natural progression of this approach would lead to retribution of all sorts, but I guess my point (and maybe Vantel's) is that if done correctly the first time you've got a cup. What happens after that is irrelevant to a franchise that's been drawing within the lines and getting nothing for it for its entire existence.

BTW I realize we're just throwing sh!t out for conversation but it's still and interesting thougt

That's why Linden and the Sedins scare the crap out of me , they are all too honest , stand up guys , you need weasels to win.

Actually on second thought forget Chara and Lucic, can anyone take out Julien? He deserves it more than anyone in the league.

I'd love someone to take a slapper at the bruins bench and hit Julien.

The Sedins won't be the go-to guys on this team(or might not even be in the NHL at all) buy the time the Canucks are a contender again). Linden as president shouldn't matter much, the coach and GM is more important for the type of players and style of play.

Btw this why I wanted Virtanen so bad originally with the first rounder this year, he's a pain in the ass to play against and can score, but Ehlers has more upside offensively IMO.

My second line would be Kane Kassian Kadri . They can dazzle and they can be weasels

If I had a choice for a first line it would,be

Jensen Hank Simmonds.

That is the typ of team I would build.

I asked KB3 why people didn't want Virtanen he sounds like my type of player.

he explained high risk high reward.

Linden has promised that we'll win the Cup before we reach 106. All is well.

He's still my 2nd choice after Ehlers, I'd be happy with either. Just not Nylander(not just because he's from Sweden, but his red flags scare me).

I joke to bug the Leaf fans but I do like Kadri.

I would take him second line center.

I'm on board with Ehlers but I still hope we strategically trade that pick either up or out in a package for a more established young star to be part of a future core.

KB3 hates all Leafs with a passion, no offense to him but I'd suggest he undervalues some of their player just a tad. I'd take Kadri if the price was right for sure.

Kadri seems like a douche but I'm more concerned about his moodiness. Kinda like Edler he seems to bring it some nights and then takes several nights off. Marchard is the prince of douches but at least he hustles every night.

If Kadri can be had for cheap, fine, but if we're putting together a decent package he'd be way down on my list of candidates. I just don't see him as part of a winning core.

I really prefer to keep Bieksa around despite his age. I think the team needs him, even if rebuilding.
