They better be 70 pt players this year because fans will turn on them this year if they are not producing. THey have the excuse of the coach they can hide behind this year ,but boy if Daniel goes 23 games this year without a goal , the crowds will be out with their torches. - VANTEL
I will go out on a limb here and predict that the twins are within the 75-80 point range next year (barring significant injuries) |

They do a 3 man cycle not two like us . - VANTEL
Sorry I don't buy that, Kesler and Burrows have very much been the benefactor of the cycle down low. You don't score that many goals without some touches. |

I would have been happy with three, but whatever, they're two of the best players to ever play for the club. They earned everything they've ever been paid.
Vantel doesn't like their cycle game but what he fails to realize is most teams (watch the interviews) try and establish a cycle game down low. It's their bread and butter, a puck possession game. LA does it, San Jose tried to do it, Logan Couture spoke to it, Chicago does it.
The difference is those teams can also create offence on the rush, which the Canucks can't. - LeftCoaster
Our D seem to be allergic to breakout passes as well these days of the blueline to blueline variety. I love watching CHI do those. That could well be the Torts effect however. |

I hate their two man cycle . It think it eats up too much of the PP while they look for the perfect pass.
I am more the type send it back to the point , fire the puck , big scramble in front , knock in the ugly rebound.
When Daniel was injured Hank Jensen and Burrows banged in I think 8 goals in 5 games. Daniel returns ,cycle begins again and scoring drought returns.
Hockey is suppose to be a 6 man game, not 2.
Kesler also ,wanted to do everything by himself.
That is why Kassian Richardson Booth we our best line at the end. They played as a 5 man unit. - VANTEL
You didn't mind it when our PP was top five in the league for four years running though did you? |

Ok, so you don't like their style, I can understand that. For myself, I enjoy the finesse, passing, cerebral type of play. But again, I can appreciate you're not a fan of that approach. That still doesn't explain why you stubbornly refuse to acknowledge that (other than this year - which as noted, was pretty much a disaster for every player, at least with respect to statistics) the Sedins have been very successful and, in term, the biggest components in the Canucks success. - Zogg
Ah man really???? I have repeatedly explained about their prime time ice time, with all the offensive zone starts ,the PPS .
They spend 22 minutes a night passing back and forth to each other and when they finally get that one pt they have eaten up so much time.
Stop trying to convince me . It is a waste of time.
I see their game one way ,you see it the other way. We will never agree. |

Different subject, but I agree with the notion that I'd like a different leader on the team. That said, wearing a "C" on your sweater is just for show. - LeftCoaster
I can agree with that. I wouldn't mind seeing Bieksa with the C; however, as you pointed out, you don't have to have a letter on your jersey to be a leader |

Torts had the forwards stationary with a chip into the opposition zone and chase. (frank)in garbage hockey. |

MIN is really making a series of it. I almost expected them to get swept.
Good to see PIT bring out their killer instinct on home ice. |

I actually did. I took into account the division we played in and also the time allowed to the Sedins on the PP.
If they are getting 1.30 of the two minutes how do you develop your younger players. |

1. We didn't have any, until Hodgson came along.
2. We didn't have any other top six guys worth putting out there, thanks Gillis. |

All of that is incidental and it doesn't matter if they get 40 minutes of power play time a night if that approach works. There is only one thing that matters, and that is success, and the Sedins have demonstrated that year after year. So I ask you, would the Canucks have had all those winning seasons without them? A yes or no will do |

We had no young players to develop and were killing it back then. Sedins looked like Michael Jordan for long stretches the way they controlled the game. It was beautiful to watch. I miss it. |

Meh, come on, look at what all that shot-blocking and 30+ minutes in ice time per game did for everyone. |

Don't take it the wrong way. It was not meant to be offensive.
Have you heard of the expression putting all your eggs in one basket? Of course you have. So they gave all the prime time to them , never gave any youth a chance , and now are getting old.
This is why a team hits 24 th spot. You need to replenish and teach. None of that has been done. |

I'm gonna be cautious and go with 65 points if they play close to 82 games. |

That's the thing, I personally find that style of play extremely entertaining. Some of the goals/set-ups that the Sedins have pulled off are head-shaking |

I'm not worried about Henrik at all, Daniel does worry me though. He needs to score 25 goals. |

we brought in Kesler Edler Burrows Hansen our team spikes upwards. We had growing pains but it worked out.
We have Hodgson Kassian COrrado Jensen. make a mistake get sent down or pasted to the bench.
I hope Horvat sticks around this year and they give him more a fair chance to make the team. |

If they are playing together it will reflect on both.
I hope they take a long look at Jensen Burrows Hank. |
