If the team is just going with a bunch of third liners I'd rather they be youthful. September is a long ways away though. |

What about Horvat 6 th for Bobby Ryan?
I like Kadri - VANTEL
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is the kind of poop that keeps you in the basement. Two potentially great young players for a guys who's got one year left on his deal.
Edit: and Kadri is terrible defensively, that's why they wanna get rid of him. |

So who do you see as a third line?
And if you do go with Youth on the third line what happens to Burrows Hansen and Higgins? |

For those of you that are thinking of a Sedin Sedin Burrows return next year keep in mind our first line scored 32 goals
Torontos first line scored 86 and Flyers scored 80 Oilers 74
Even if we increase by 100 % we are still below the average. |

Good thing they're brother and sister, your mom didn't have to figure out how to change her last name. |

So who do the caknuckleheads want at 6 ?
Is there any interest in moving into the top 3?
I know Mac T wants a. Second rounder so I feel like that'd be the cost. Not sure he wants to risk losing out on bennet, draisatl or ekblad at 3. Draisairl at 6 could happen if:
Flr takes ekblad
Buff takes Bennet
Van takes reinhart
Cgy takes dal colle
Isles take ehlers/ritchie/kapanen

There you go relying on numbers for your debate again instead of looking at past history
Keep in mind they're all 33 years old and Henrik only averages around 15 goals a year. If Daniel and Burrows each score 20 to 25 goals I'd be more than happy with that!
Jensen or Kassian spending some time with the twins would be good with me too; I'd like to see Burrows slide down the line-up a bit. |

Ya it's just picks though. No players exchanging like Schneider last year. I'd prefer to stay at three but it's something to look at since talk in edmonton is ekblad/bennet/draisaitl. Leon has the highest chance of sliding based on other rankings. |

You do need to take in account some numbers. Burrows would need to quadruple his production to hit 20 goals.
When you are talking one player doubling his production that is asking a lot , when you ask three players to double their production you are playing with fire.
I agree about Burr moving down ,but I would like him on the third line. |

If Buff passes on Bennett I'd love to deal our 1st and 2nd for him personally. |

Higgins to me is a tweener. Mike Babcok said his ideal team is 2 x sexy lines that excite your eye. Higgins is not that
A third line that can score and crunch. Higgins can not crunch.
A fourth line that has you looking over your shoulder.
Burrows would make a better third liner LHF than Higgins. - VANTEL
I agree Higgins is a tweener, probably leaning towards more of a third line role. However, don't say he doesn't crunch or play with grit, and also add in goals/points
17 goals on a clusterf*ck team with a disasterous change in philosophy/coaching
22 assists
39 points
216 shots on goal
Grit Factor
98 hits
45 blocks
I'd say that's a very decent all around package (especially given the cap-hit - $2.5 million through 2017). And as someone mentioned, he is mr hustle night after night and would be a great mentor for the younger players |
