I think he's a good coach and would have fbeen happy to have him here. Hard to win when your GM and captain have a combined IQ of 13. Leafs struggles aren't his fault

I'm actually just trying to riff on the messianic Benning movement. Chances are, if the Canucks get him, he will be considered the dumbest guy alive if the team doesn't win the cup within three years.

I don't want Trotz and I don't want any other re-tread. I also don't want someone who's emphasis is on systems but rather motivates and is able to get the most/best out of a player. Someone like a Nolan, who seems to be the ultimate motivator. Hopefully Linden has a similar set of parameters in his GM/coach search
