Linden wouldn't attach his name to that panhandling. - Chest Rockwell
It's getting pathetic.
If they really want to retain a good number of their season ticket holders why not reduce ticket prices that truly reflect the quality of entertainment we are watching at Rogers Arena?
I have no problem paying top dollar for top entertainment but I'm not paying Ferrari prices for a Pontiac. |

They will reduce them eventually if they're not selling. It should be a straight case of supply and demand but in traditional hockey markets the prices can be quite sticky.
Didn't they recently raise the season ticket prices? Straight after the lockout, no less? |

I doubt it, they might lower the price on single game tickets, but not on season tickets. That's where they make their money. |

You only make your money if people are buying. |

Don't they have a fairly length waiting list they can turn to? Obviously those people may no longer be interested, but I'm sure a guy like Aquilini knows what he's doing, business-wise. |

I don't doubt FA's ability to make money, but I do think they may be facing a new reality of interest level that they haven't seen for quite some time. No idea about the waiting list these days. |

Jason Botchford @botchford
It's now a couple of people, and one who knows him, who say they saw Naslund in Vancouver last week. He maintains he was not here.

You will get 5 more town hall meetings before the price comes down. They will also want to see how demand rebounds with a new GM hire, a new coach and possibly some offseason activity like trades and draft. If they really have to they will create new types of flex packs, etc. They will not want to create lower price precedent for season ticket if they can avoid it. If team bounces back next year, the demand for season tickets will return. |

Seems to be a lot of smoke coming from that corner. If he is the guy Linden wants then I really hope Montreal closes the series out ASAP so Benning can get over to Van, assess the situation and personnel, and start making so decisions. If we have to wait until June to start looking at head coaches we could be in a tougher spot. - AlexF
I keep hearing Boston will not make him available until after the draft. |

Yes they did.
It's the discrepency in ticket prices league-wide that bugs me the most. I understand the effects of market demand but the price gap is increadable between some markets. Same product. Same in-game experience. Huge difference in price. Sucks. |

We keep hearing that Linden wants to follow the "Boston model" but I would rather them hire someone like Jeff Blashill (although doubtful that Detroit would let us talk to him) or Willie Desjardins. Not Trotz, Muller or any other NHL retread. - we_are_all_canucks
Trotz has not been contacted yet by then Caucks according to his interview today. |

Agree with you and bazz. They don't like (frank)ing with season ticket prices. Another sort point with me.
It's still a gate revenue league and yet management chooses to screw the most loyal of fans (some of those old fans have been season ticket holders since the 70's). You have to pay regular ticket prices for pre-season games. CGs |

Core Canucks players who will be 30 or older at the start of the 2014-15 season (ages at start of season):
- Daniel Sedin (34)
- Henrik Sedin (34)
- Kevin Bieksa (33)
- Alex Burrows (33)
- Dan Hamhuis (31)
- Chris Higgins (31)
- Ryan Kesler (30)
I'd argue at least 2 of these guys have to be traded this summer. I know who Vantel would pick. - AlexF
You would be wrong. I would keep Henrik.
Daniel would, definitely be moves as would Kesler but so would Higgins. |

Trev won't be doing any trading or drafting. Trev will be kissing hands and shaking babies.
I can't stop thinking that Trevor is (as the canuck's President) a false idol. |
