If McCarron REALLY wants to make the NHL at the very least we have a goon. if he develops a bit more, we might have a solid 3rd liner... if all goes well for him we might have a top 6 contributor with size. I'm not really upset about the pick, there are no slam dunks picked after him.

is he a UFA/RFA? I don't see why you would resign him, unless it was for depth in Hamilton. I think too many players passed him on the depth chart, and many more are coming who should leapfrog him anyway.

Hopefully he can catch on somewhere else...or go back to Harvard...
