I don't think there is any doubt that he won't want that. But I would think in his mind, based on the type of player he has been, he doesn't think for a second that he's going to be on the 4th line again. He thinks he's going to work hard this off season, and come to camp and be the same player he has always been, and they'll have to play him more on a scoring line. And I wouldn't bet against him on that.
And the Flyers also can't go into the season with that plan of using him on the 4th line again. If they're going to keep him, then they have to make some changes to help maximize his worth as a player. The problem I have is that I don't think the Flyers should cater their moves around a 34 year old player.
