Was initially diagnosed as back spasms. Turned out to be a fractured back...

If that was the case he should have went to the AHL not the NHL

Player development is not linear. A player may be playing the right way out of the gate, and then develop bad habits. Or he can wear down due to not being use to the grind. There can be any number of reasons why a player would start in the NHL, only to need to be demoted to the AHL. It's not black and white where it can be stated that he was rushed or his development was stunted. Each player is an individual case.

Do you think that Doctors always get the diagnosis correct the first time? Can you supply any documentation that something like that is negligence? If not, then what is the point?

The Flyers medical team is the bestest! The way Downie was handled was world class.

You can spin it anyway you'd like that will help you sleep at night, he shouldn't have been in the NHL right away.

How was Downie handled poorly? What mistakes did they make with Downie? I'd like to hear the facts on how Downie was handled poorly.

Nothing to do with spin. It's not uncommon for players to be demoted after starting in the NHL. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have been in the NHL right away.

Obviously none. Not like he was playing after multiple concussions within a few week period.

Did he pass the medical tests to get clearance? Or did the Flyers just knowingly throw him out there with a concussion? Which Doctors dropped the ball?

As does mine. In the case of Larsson, he sustained a knee injury, that forced him to miss 21 games. When he came off the DL, he was assigned to Albany. That's a case of a physical issue being a likely reason why he was sent to the AHL, to get back physically.

Is that first draft site garbage? I don't follow prospects prior to the draft so I'm at the mercy of the "experts". Best sites?

Jim McCrossin is an Athletic Trainer, not a Doctor. McCrossin does not make the Medical decisions on which players are healthy enough to play.

Yes, I still am rooting for them, now we'll see how they hand things on the road. You might like this article if you haven't seen it already.

This Rags team blows. A crime a team that has gone 0-33 on the PP is in Round 2.

I didn't know all that about Portland. I knew about the sanctions though.

I think Portland is a very underrated city. I think they could support an NHL team. They seem to do really well with the Blazers.

Man the Rangers look bad against Pittsburgh. I can't believe the Flyers lost to them. Pittsburgh took 1 game to adjust to AV's defensive system.
