It certainly stunted his development.

I'd say it's more like trying to mold him and teach him how to play the right way, for the long term gain, rather then stunting his development.

Where would you guys rank Lecav versus the FA Centers?

Behind Stastny, Ott, Jokinen, Grabovski and Roy.

Other then Stastny, a healthy Lecavalier is easily better then the other players you listed.

What a save. MAF looks very good in this series thus far.

Rags PP 0-30. Usually that's enough to send a team home.

If he's that good the Flyers should be able to get at least a 4th rounder. I see added that if healthy.

That's the biggest factor with Lecavalier. What is the story with his back. Can he get back to where he needs to be physically, so he can skate stronger. If he can, and if he's used right, and with the right players, he can still be a strong offensive player capable of 25 goals and 50-60 pts. The hands are still there.

He had a broken vertebrae, and was obviously affected by it during the Season.

Even if healthy I don't see Berube wanting to hold on to him. Interesting off season. They're closer than they were a year ago so I just hope they keep the young guns unless a young gun comes back in return.

I don't think he is the type of Center that Berube likes. He wants his Centers to be puck hounds, and pressure the puck all over the ice. That is not Lecavalier's game. So this is part of what the Flyers need to decide. I think there are a number of things that have to happen, for the Flyers to maximize what they get from Lecavalier. Some is on what the Flyers decide. And the rest is on Lecavalier
First and foremost, Lecavalier has to get stronger, and come to camp in top shape. To get his skating back to where it was before the injury. Secondly, the Flyers have to commit to playing him at Center, on the 2nd line. Thirdly, he needs to have the right players around him, to compliment him. Which to me means they need to play him with a puck carrying Winger. Preferably a LW. Flyers don't currently have that player. The only player that fits the bill is Voracek, who is a RW. But that takes him away from Giroux, and the Flyers don't have a replacement top Winger, unless they move Simmonds up there.
Bottom line is that I'm not sure the Flyers should radically change the makeup of the team, to support a 34 year old player. But that's how he would fit, on this team.

It was pretty clear that he never got back to where he was in the beginning of the season, before the injury. Nor was he close to the type of player he has been his entire career, after the injury. So call it speculation all you want.

Thanks. That makes sense. Let's hope he gets healthy to put the team in a stronger position however they proceed.

Do you think that Doctors always get the diagnosis correct the first time? Can you supply any documentation that something like that is negligence? If not, then what is the point?
