The Bruins core strategy is to fight, not dive. That's because they are real men.

to those saying to put Murray in, i disagree. the PK has been fine without him, and that's one of his major assets. but when the Bruins barrel into the zone and start flinging the puck around for 40-50 seconds at a time, Murray will be useless. and yes, you can shelter his minutes but in case you didn't notice, all 4 Boston lines are capable of cycling and exerting sustained offensive pressure. i don't see Murray bringing too much to this team. in fact, i don't blame the defence for what's happening 5 on 5 as much as i blame the forwards. they can exert absolutely no offensive pressure without a manpower advantage. their zone entries are one and done, and we turn possession over in a matter of seconds for the most part. that has to change at least somewhat. can't put your defence under siege for 60 minutes and then be shocked when they crumble in the third.

This is the very first thing I notice in comparison when I watch any other playoff game. All the other teams have a few ways to enter the offensive, the Habs have none.

at least against Boston. they've things under total control at 5 on 5. hopefully there is an adjustment to be made. i do however think that things will be a little more even at 5 on 5 in Montreal. Boston will still have the upper hand but i think Montreal will play with more energy at home, same way Boston seems to feed off their home crowd.

And I expect some better powerplay passing because it can't be worse than the last 2 games.

They just need to keep playing the same way with the lead, instead of throwing the puck everywhere like idiots and trying to only defend it.

well that's easier said than done. when Boston turned it on midway through the third Satruday, it was like a runaway freight train.

But yeah, you just knew they wouldn't make it to OT with 4 minutes left.

you missed a precious post by our buddy borjefan yesterday. was comparing the reffing in this series to the reffing in the Boston-Toronto series last year. refs refs refs.
