well, from the looks of it, it was a weak shot along the ice... sometimes it's best to just leave that one alone.
I'll go watch the replay, as Howard seems to think it hit Bouillon's shin pad... |

No its true they are doing a better job at finishing chances and making the Bruins pay on the PP.
The most infuriating moment of the series for me so far is Mike Weaver shooting the puck through a maze of 629 players and the puck going in clean. WTF? - Cape Breton Bruins
The number of opened net the Bruins missed is outrageous.
Game 1 should have ended 8-3 for Boston |

No?
Mind you, I didn't say they deserved to win game 2.
I said they could have won game 2. - Pecafan Fan
Boston outplayed MTL in game 1 by a LOT, and lost... MTL was very opportunistic and took the game.
MTL outplayed BOS for 40 of the 60 minutes (at least)in game 2, but Boston hit 6th gear and won the game....
I have no freaking clue how to judge this series anymore.....
I will say, though, it's great to see these 2 teams play HOCKEY and there are no BS calls ruining the series, no massive amounts of diving or embellishment, not a ton of extra curricular after the whistles... Its refreshing |

It wasn't just Bruins players.... There were Habs players, a soccer line trying to block a free kick, the little dude from Tiananmen square.... |

They've been guilty of taking the foot off the gas.
Hopefully they'll learn from that. - pete26
well i think that's a one-sided view. what happens in the game is not solely about how Montreal approaches it. there are two teams on the ice. you could just as easily say that Boston was asleep for the first half of the period and then woke up. i don't think it's as simple as Montreal taking their foot off the gas. |

Still not skating with the team yet. At this point he'd be questionable for round 3 I'd say.

i think we all agree, but i think we'll learn a lot tomorrow. i want to see if Montreal can close the 5 on 5 gap at home a bit, using last change and feeding off the crowd. i thought Boston really fed off the crowd in both third periods so far. but in a more welcoming environment, if they can get Vanek/Pacioretty away from Chara, i think 5 on 5 play could tilt a bit. i still expect Boston to carry the play more, but not to the extent we saw in Boston. |

It's tough to score when the puck is in your end of the rink.
Seems pretty simple to me. |

Yes. What he is saying, is that it's not all on Montreal taking their foot off the gas. Boston's energy and improved play have a large part in it is well. |
