Obviously scouting is good but luck plays a big role in stealing a player in a draft

I think that is just as important a conversation. Leafs need to steal a couple of great players with later picks. Only way this team really starts to turn this thing around.

If they don't have the best guy they need to go get him and pay him whatever he wants.

I am guessing that because they got Luongo they might want some guys who can help them now rather then prospects they have to wait for, hence why they would trade the #1. I would certainly offer them Gardiner and Kadri to see if that exites them. Heck if they want a captain they can also have Phaneuf

No way the leafs trade kessel. He is our franchise player. JVR is still so young and plays so good with kessel. No way he gets traded either. Kessel JVR Bernier and Rielly are all completely safe
