They will score closer to the 200 goals for mark next year.

90-110 from your top 6 Stewart, Stafford, Hodgson, and Ennis will all hit 20+
50-60 from the bottom 6
30 from the back end

A healthy Neuvirth gets you 50 starts and 45-50 points in those starts.
Enroth will get you 25-30 points.

They will be a 75-80 point team.

That would be nice . I see them at 60 - 70 points

Subban just can't help himself.

Great start to the game, then goes for a stupid hip check and they almost tie it

You're expecting a lot from the bottom 6.

8 goals per player in the bottom 6 isn't expecting a lot in all reality.

Not a single bottom 6 player scored 8 goals this year. In fact, youre expecting them to score 2/3 more than their production from this year. Stewart has scored 20+ one time in his career. The only thing that looks realistic was 30 from the D (they scored 28 this year).

If the top 6 remains largely unchanged from last year, I dont understand how you have such high expectations for more scoring.

Stewrat has scored 20+ twice with 18 in 48 games in 12/13 and had 15 in 63 games last year.

Over an 82 games season last year he scores 23

He avgs 68.39 gp per year and 20.59 goals over that time.

Stewart and Stafford are in contract years, they will get 20+ as will Ennis and Hodgson

There's 80, add in the other 2 top 6 guys at 15 goals now you're at 110. 50 goals from your bottom 6 isn't unreasonable. Now you're at 160 add in the 30 from the back end. You're at 190. It's a realistic number.

Ahh yes, I didnt add COL+STL as a single season, my bad.

I still think they are high expectations.

Hodgson plays an avg of 95.31% of games equaling 78.15 gp and 20.37 goals
Ennis plays an avg of 87.42% of games equaling 71.68 gp and 17.72 goals
Stafford plays an avg of 88.92% of games equaling 72.40 gp and 19.19 goals
Stewart plays an avg of 83.40% of games equaling 68.39 and 20.59 goals

Based off their avgs it equals 77.87 goals per year.

I'm not far off when you add both Stafford and Stewart are up for new deals, 25ish goals for the both of them isn't unrealistic. I'd even pencil in Girgensons in for 15.

Girgensons 15
Ennis 22
Stewart 23
Coho 24
Staff 26

110 and you're still minus a winger.

Sign a Milan Michalek who avgs 73.26 gp and 21.66 goals you're at 130+. I had it at 90-110 total.

In contract years they always show up.

Like I said 90-110 for that group is more than realistic

Just using their avgs(with signing a Michalek type) you're at 99.53 goals plus whatever Girgensons scores.

190 goals is still pretty bad.

It second to last in the league, assuming last years stats.

We had 243 goals scored on us last year and we will be without miller for an entire season.

we also didn't get 8 goals from a single bottom 6 player last season.

I still dont see how thats not a bottom 5 team. I think any bottom 5 team has the potential to finish dead last. Guaranteed? of course not. But we have a better shot than most.

Neuvirth stays healthy, he's capable of putting up similar numbers.

Health is the only thing that's the issue.

I think thats debatable, but i can assume it will be true.

50-60 goals from our bottom six seems unrealistic, considering we didn't have even half that this year.

Just seems like a lot of "ifs" and even if it all happens that way, we still are looking to be a bottom 5 team.

i dunno how 190 goals gets you 70-80 points.

From players that are considered bottom 6 guys league wide they had 42 and if you take what TM said I'd imagine them bringing in a 3rd line center capable of potting 12-15 goals.

Mitchell 1
Adam 1
Varone 1
Deslauriers 1
Scott 1
McCorrmick 1
Grigorenko 2
Conacher 3
Ellis 4
D'Agostini 5
Flynn 6
Foligno 7
Ott 9

Total 42

All are/were/will be 3rd and 4th liners this past season or will be in the up coming season minus Grigorenko(he'll be in the AHL). While I know Ott is gone, his production is easily replaced.

The top 6 as it stands is Ennis, Hodgson, Girgensons, Stafford, Stewart, and a UFA signing (like Michalek or Moulson) and/or a draft day trade (Ehrhoff for ).

This team will be a bottom team in the league, IMO it's foolish to think one of the top 2 picks in 2015 are a lock. When one keeps putting it their head that they are lock, one tends to be disappointed when what they want doesn't happen. IMO we should not be penciling McDavid or Eichel on this roster. Minor tweeks will be made to put a competent hockey team on the ice. They will be bad, I'm just not going to get my hopes up for one of those guys. Saying they will be Calgary next year still makes the a terrible hockey team.

Ah I gotcha. I was leaving ott out when I did it, as I had assumed most of his production had come while on one of the top two lines.

That makes sense tho. If we can get 50 from the bottom 6 that would be awesome

Let's say we add Bolland and Moulson/Michalek. Our production should go up and games will be more entertaining, still won't push us anywhere near 10th, but gives us something to be hopeful for.

If Miller re-ups in St Louis prior to them selecting in the 1st rd, we will be selecting 22nd.
- dadeadhead

At best the St. Louis pick can be 24 and that's if two teams such as the wild and rangers can make the finals.
