Im going to love hearing from all the fans here after Buffalo doesn't even fall into the bottom five next year. Also scoring doesn't always equate to wins.If Nolan puts in a good defensive system its possible to win with 2 or 3 goals per and I don't see TM sitting still if he can upgrade in FA.Everyones assuming TM wont make any moves and our rookies and kids wont progress or be better.Oh well we shall see.

Listen closely when they interview TM. He'll be signing a couple of 3rd liners, maybe. He said 2015 draft is most important. So that should tell you something. He said our first pick will be sent back to juniors. Meanwhile, we lack Vanek, Moulson & Ott. That leaves us with Coho & Ennis. Period. I see a worse team coming up. I do wish they would sign Moulson though. He was a good fit here.

What does he have to lie about ? They have a plan . They are not going to make moves to be mediocre and lose on out on a chance at McDavid or Eichel .

If he was going to lie, wouldn't he state it in a more positive direction?

Plans change.

While I do believe they will go after players in the Michalek and Bolland mold(fringe 2nd liners). You can't tell me if they are presented with a deal involving an Evander Kane type player and it's a good deal that they won't pull the trigger.

They will get offers at the draft that could change the direction a tad.

Isn't today the day the Islanders have to decide which year's pick they are giving us?

They can still miss out on both and not be a very good team.

Ottawa
Florida
Vancouver
Toronto

4 teams I could see going into tank mode.

If Miller re-ups in St Louis prior to them selecting in the 1st rd, we will be selecting 22nd.

Can't see it in Toronto , Vancouver with resigning the Sedins and Ottawa has made steps towards decent team.

Spezza will be moved and once thats done Ryan could be on the way out too.
Toronto is a train wreck waiting to crash.
Wouldn't surprise me to see the Sedins moved to a team like Detroit. Buyout Weiss, trade for the Sedins, still leaves them 8-10 in space.

Ottawa has some good young talent . No way they move Ryan with everything they gave up for him and him stating he wanted to resign there .

Toronto has too much money tied up in high profile players with no trade contracts to go into tank mode ( they will re tool )

Sedins have no trade clause and hard to move a pair together like that and you know they are not moving apart.

Florida I am not sure . Lot of Good young talent there . Tallon has been given the go ahead from new ownership to spend . Any improvement by their great uong talent and no way they are as bad as us.

Detroit has the room and the prospects to get it done if they wished to.

A move like that pushes them back in the top 4 of the East.

This team will not have the awful start they had last season.

This team will be like Calgary was last year. Bad but not bad enough for #1 or #2 and will draft 4th.

Thats what i'm thinking too. This season we had scorers not scoring . Next season that can change and the youngins will be a year older and better.

You they fit Detroit style ? They play on perimeter . Detroit players got to the net. Don't know if they are Babcock type players .

Calgary I can see sliding below us . They outplayed their actual talent this season . Monahan will have sophmore slump as well.

Don't think those two are enough to do it. Regardless, Miller did steal some games.

Add the youngins trying to prove their worth. It could happen.

Not commenting on Miller anymore

They will score closer to the 200 goals for mark next year.

90-110 from your top 6 Stewart, Stafford, Hodgson, and Ennis will all hit 20+
50-60 from the bottom 6
30 from the back end

A healthy Neuvirth gets you 50 starts and 45-50 points in those starts.
Enroth will get you 25-30 points.

They will be a 75-80 point team.
