Sounds like the gillis approach. Hire somebody who always agrees with you to tell you when your wrong

Just a quick comment with respect to the second part of Carole's blog; namely, the question of who starts game 7 for the Sharks. Not sure what everyone else thinks, but I feel it's pretty much a no-brainer, in that you have to go with the guy that got you there, has extensive play-off experience, and has been in such high-pressure situations before.

As has been demonstrated in many similar such scenarios, there is very rarely any success in making these 11th hour changes in a position as crucial as goaltending (let alone in a game 7 do-or-die situation). I guess we'll see shortly. Either way, I hope that we see an incredible finish to what has been an intense and exciting series

An ideal game would be Sharks in ot in a game where Dustin Brown has his career ended by a hit

I dont like either team for obvious reasons but I detest the sharks. Joe will never take the sharks past the second round.

Brown is fairly quickly making the case (if it's not already official) for most-hated player in the league (and who would have thought anyone would ever take that illustrious title away from Marchand). What a @#$@# weasel, indeed; it's mind boggling he's only been suspended for two games in his career.

Niemi should have started game 6, he's bounced back in the past. No-brainer for game 7 now.

I think Joe hasn't been the problem. The past few playoffs, he has really picked it up several notches and given it his all. I think most people feel he's finally put the tag of 'soft' behind him. Unfortunately one player can't win a game, let alone a series. I just hope that we see a great game, not decided by the zebras or a tick-tacky goal/bounce.

He may be a weasel but he showed up in the playoffs when it mattered, and the nucks haven't had a captain of his calibre in LONG time

I meant no need to go after Halak at 4 mil per , use that money to get a guy like Moulsen for around 6 instead.

Agreed 6 million for a 30 year old player who only got over 60 points once.

If the majority of owners vote in favour of it, the NBA constitution does in fact allow it due to his behaviour. Bobcats(Jordan), Kings, Cavs, Heat, etc have all had their owners publicly speak out against him and Silver said he's spoken to some owners and is confident they'll vote in favour of it.

Magic might buy the team.

I want McDavid and Eichel and Hanifin in 2015 and Matthews and Benson in 2016. Plus a trade for Crosby and Weber.

Good for him showing up. I'd take Henrik, Naslund or Luongo as captain over Brown

Mind you, if he was on the Canucks, I may not have a problem with him as long as he wasn't captain, a bit of a dirty rep.

The problem is an ass like Brown or Cooke will probably end someone else's career first .

I was thinking of getting a scorer for two years while the kids develop. Could have said Vanek, there is not a lot to chose from.

Problem is that you're not going to convince one of those guys to take just 2 years to go to a non-contender unless you plan on offering them like 8 million per to Moulson or 10 million per to Vanek for 2 years or something stupid like that.

Moulson or Cammy would rather get 6 per with a full NTC and 4-6 years of a guaranteed high salary. Vanek/Statsny the same, except they'll get even more money with the same long term.

Yup I realized that after I opened my mouth. I do want to get younger. I didn't know Moulsen was 31

Yeah, late-bloomer like Burrows so they seem younger than most who don't follow them closely would think.

My players on the block. Though keep in mind I would make all available for the right price.

Edler, Burrows, Garrison, Hansen trade. Booth buyout. Best value without destroying the team. If Kesler truly wants out he can go, I will be sad but Nucker will be on suicide watch.
