Yeah, this team is far from a lock to even make the playoffs next year so why spend big money on an older UFA. This won't be popular, but I'd deal Kesler for futures and suck another year since 2015 is a stacked draft class. After that maybe sign a good UFA or 2 next summer if the young kids are showing promise and need some help to make a push.

Everyone's afraid of becoming the Oilers, but Edmonton had a way worse veteran group compared to the Canucks and they have to overpay to get players to play in that city.

I would like to compare this teams future more with Anaheim's. I'm not talking about modelling our team after theirs I don't like to do that. We need to be ourselves. Bad seasons happen but I don't think it is as dark as some might think. We may not be in the picture next year but not long after that if the right plays are made.

If the majority of owners vote in favour of it, the NBA constitution does in fact allow it due to his behaviour. Bobcats(Jordan), Kings, Cavs, Heat, etc have all had their owners publicly speak out against him and Silver said he's spoken to some owners and is confident they'll vote in favour of it.
