Thats why I said combined but my purpose was to illustrate that Lundqvist has been better than average which was the way you characterized it. Yes the Rangers play great team defense, but so does Boston yet people heap praise on Rask but when Lundqvist puts up the numbers that he puts up its because of the guys in front of him. I'm not saying the Flyers can't win this series either, they very well can, all I am saying is Lundqvist has been above average. I didn't come her to start a fight and will eave the board, I just wanted to make my point. Good luck tomorrow night.

I for one welcome well thought out and respectful posts from opposing fans.

Well kiddies, it's do or die time. One thing I have to say though, every time this season their backs have been against the wall this team has responded in a big way. It won't surprise me in the least if they come out with their best game of this series and win convincingly Tuesday, and, since I will be at the bar, the odds are truly in their favor!!

I would, however, shake up the lines some and go with the following lineup:

Raffl-G-Voracek
Hartnell-Schenn-Simmonds
Read-Couturier-Akeson
Hall-VL-Rinaldo*
Timonen-Coburn
AMac-Streit
Gus-Schenn

*I would only spot this line here and there and mainly just use Hall on the PK and for key D zone faceoffs and VL on the pp. Rinaldo should not get more than 1 or 2 shifts per period.

I actually like the Flyers odds better going into game 7 on a back to back if they pull out game 6. I think they can take more momentum with them then say if they had a day off and time to think about it

But in game 1 he separated McDonagh from the puck that lead to the Flyers goal.

In all seriousness, no one has played particularly well for the Flyers in this series. They won 2 games because the goalies stood on their heads in games 2 and 4.

Lundqvist hasn't even had to be great for the Rags to enjoy this 3-2 series lead.

No Flyers fan should be surprised here, this team makes nothing easy on themselves or the fans. Yet, they keep finding a way.

I'd pull Hartnell out of the line up and replace him with McGinn or someone who can skate/will skate, hold onto the puck, be hard on the boards.

Rangers will take this if they can just stay out of the box enough. Flyers need a chopped up whistlefest to get this to game 7

Not surprised but this series is a little weird how its played out so far.

I was prepared for the forwards to play a lot better and get more chances, expected then for Lundqvist to stand on his head and the Rangers to win converting on a lucky break or two.

Did not expect to have the Flyers win by their goalies stealing two games, and did not at all expect the skaters to be so outplayed for most of the series.

We should start Rinaldo-Rosehill-Cote-Shelley. Just pull the goalie and let them goon it up. Old time hockey. Those guys have heart and will give a strong effort on the foreskin…I mean forecheck.

So I have a slow morning here at the office (thank god).

I decided to break down team d-man average height and weight among some of the playoff teams...

A- 6'1 1/3 208

B-6'1 203

C-6'1 1/2 205

D-6'2 1/4 214

E-5'11 4/5 200

F- 6'1 205

G-6'2 1/2 212

H-6'1 1/2 202

Teams included:

Rangers, Ducks, Habs, Pens, Hawks, Flyers, Bruins, Sharks

Lets see who can match them accordingly..

They need to change up the 1st PP. Teams have keyed on the double screen and hartnell can never get that shot off inside the box. I would maybe put Vinny out there where jake is and put jake down low and let simmer work the front. jake then can slide behind the goal to make something happen and aloows vinny to shoot since he seems to be the only guy to get shots through

Median is probably a better measure. A guy like Chara can throw off the average.

Agreed. It's no surprise when you look at a team like Boston and see every goalie that started for them with incredible stats. It starts with the defense. Lundqvist has done exactly what great goalies do so far (even ones that haven't truly been tested) - make saves on routine shots and don't allow any weak goals.

Berube needs to send a message and id sit a vet. Hartnell is most desrving of them all to be scratched.

They need all the scoring they can get. Taking a guy out who is capable of putting the puck in the back of the net would be penny wise and pound foolish.

IMO, Gus in for Gill, and Laughton in for Rinaldo makes the most sense. Maybe they won't make a difference, but we already know Gill and Rinaldo won't make any positive contributions to the Flyers.

Gill missed a wide open net yesterday that could have turned the game around, not to mention he was a statue. Rinaldo can't really play his energy/physical game because he's going to get called for anything close.

Lets face it... Hartnell isnt his old self. In fact hes been pennywise and foolish himself this series. But id be ok with sitting rinaldo for laughton. Gus for gill too... Gill may not be an offensive dman but he is an nhl player he should have potted that gift.

For one time in this series the Flyers need to come out of the locker room READY TO PLAY. This easing into the game has got to stop. Why they can't be fired up to play like the Rags are is beyond me. Maybe if someone would steal all the Rangers jerseys and replace them with Penguins jerseys this team will want to play hard.
- Daveflyers36

Giroux said they come out too fired up and wind up making too many mistakes. He said they needed to come out and not allow themselves to get emotional.

If they believe that, i don't think we can win the series.
