I think someone mentioned that Miller's always been used to getting a lot of work - ie. lots of shot on net, whereas St. Louis tends to keep the shots-against at the lower end of the spectrum. As such, that may have been a bit of a factor; however, he certainly looked average at best - Zogg
Yeah, it's much harder for goalies to remain focused when they get lulls in the action. Regardless, I remember so many people figured STL should just give up the farm for him as it would guarantee victory. They would of had just as good a chance with Halak. |

How come? He's not the Hitch of old, obviously he's evolved from his hard ass tactics but is still system orientated. - LeftCoaster
Hitch and hard ass don't belong in the same sentence. |

Put Linden in Public Relations where he belongs, and bring in McPhee and Trotz to do the hockey stuff. |

Ugh, time to bring in some guys who've never had a chance yet but are qualified for one. No more retreads. I'm okay with a 2nd time coach, but not someone who's coached 2+ different teams. And no thanks to any recently fired GM. Rather hire a McNab/Benning/Briesbois/Etc. |

Definitely tired of the ole re-treads. Same ole same ole system styles, conservative approaches/strategies, lack of creativity, and not enough of the 'let them play" mentality. Fitting square pegs into round holes, and the inability to get the maximum out of players, not allowing them to play to their strengths, but instead trying to force players into roles they are either unaccustomed to or are sure to fail in. |

I seen on Twitter Dreger saying Torts to be replaced with Trots. At least it will be easy to change the nameplates on the door.

So far this is who I am leaning towards. As for coach I have quite a few I would look at. |

What did Dreger speak to our new Gm that hasn't been hired yet about our new coach that he has picked? That guy is such a blow hard tool. |

Television's version of Eklund. All of his leads come from a source within one team |

The decline of Ovi under Hunter is a perfect example of how a coaches "system" hurts a player as well as a team. If your not using your best player to his full potential your never going to improve your teams potential. A GM's job is to bring players together that have their own set of skills that will bring chemistry to the group. If you have a coach who won't use them properly by playing their strengths he is not a good NHL coach. Having is system isn't a bad thing having one that isn't adaptable to bring the best out of your top players isn't good at all. |

Here is something interesting that I have been tracking for sometime now. All players that have played in FLA for min 1 season and then traded to a contending team in either TDL or Draft have not panned out. The only team that is still in the playoffs right now that has an ex Panther from last year is Mtl and that is because TB lost it starting goalie before the series even started. All the more reason why I an happy GMMG is gone. No More Florida trades! Please! While we are at it. Players that were part of bottom struggling teams for a long time don't make any major impact in the playoffs. Looks at Miller, Moulson, Vanek, Goc, Legwand, all of the Edm trades. Winning environment breeds winners. We really need to get back on track or Canucks will become the new oilers. |
