I'd love him in the system. The caps drafting is one of the best in the league

Ray Shero is stuck in 2009. Just that one missing piece will get them back there.

I'm hoping the ducks continue to struggle. Etem, both 1sts and another prospect

As with all teams though, you wonder how much of that can be attributed to the GM or the team's head of scouting. I realize the buck may stop with the GM but that doesn't necessarily mean all (or even most) of the draft decisions are his.

If there was one team that made sense to run at luongo it was Pitts. Fluery is god awful and has never been better then average at any point of his career.

Ducks really showing they are not deep. That makes me wonder if they will trade the future. They are being exposed lately . I think they may decide to hang on to their assets.

I get what your saying but ultimately the GM makes the call. Its no different then the movie money all. The idea was all the asst gms but Beane gets the credit because he stuck his neck out. Also mcphee was with wash long enough to have a hand in asembling the scouting staff

We have all said thT time after time. It was evident when Flyers bounced them in the PO scoring 17 goals a night.

The game getz and Perry play, their game will soon start to detieriate with their bodies. Kesler would makes them 10x better. A guy like him playing behind kesler would be awful hard to match in terms of talent and grit

I bet Fluery and a pick would have done it.

Exactly. That should have been a no brainier.

I would still do Markstrom and Booth for Fluery and Despres . Hopefully Despres just had a Tyler Myers sophomore year.

Yeah I don't want recycled execs . I want fresh meat like Benning and Linden. let Bennington pick his coach.

I agree with everything you said here but unless the scouting staff (that I agree he probably helped assemble) comes with him then there's little guarantee that he could replicate that success. Couple that possibility with his trade and UFA signing history, along with his coaching choices and general success of his team in 17 years and I'm not convinced he's the best option for us.

PIT trading for Luongo made some sense. PIT shipping out Fleury for Markstrom is silly. They'd want a steady upgrade not a poorly developed prospect who may or may not still achieve some of his potential in the next few years.

Markstrom would not be their main goalie. Getting rid of Fluery opens the door to sign Miller Hiller Halak or some other top UFA goalie? Markstrom would be the backup and future prospect.

Fluery would be the salary dump and back up to Lack and a possible TDL piece for one year? We get a D prospect and a decent Goalie for the regular season. It is also a contract year for Fluery , if he sucks then you can have a pretty decent back up cheaply .

But taking back booth negates that. You remove Booth from the deal then maybe

Salary dump for Salary Dump , prospect for prospect. Cap space about the same. They could buy out Booth if they didn't want him but he is a decent player for 4.2 and Pens only have seven forwards signed for next year.

I went to Agassiz today for the Tulip display. I was one of five white people there. If a person wanted to get rich quick , put up a tent and bring a BBQ grill. Sell Chinese food or Filipino food.

All other White guys there had a Filipina G\F and were walking around saying yes Dear.

Why the hell do people drive miles and miles to see a stupid flower that you can buy at a florist. I better get laid for this

Not sure how the trade makes that different. Depres at this point has more value then Markstrom. Who btw by definition is not a prospect
