I heard it was attributed to Toews. Who knows though...

Apparently Keith sounded suspiciously guilty when questioned about it.

CBJ/PIT is first series in NHL history in which four consecutive games have been won by a team trailing by two or more goals.

I am really not very nice to my wifey, she asked me earlier if I felt anything and I just looked at her like she was crazy.

edit: and just after I posted this my mom in Comox called to ask if we felt it here... She thought she was having a stroke and then noticed a chandelier swinging.

After all that bad acid flashback talk yesterday I think a swinging chandelier would be the least concerning sight to behold.

Kesler for Teravainen would be a start.

But, I'm not sure if Chi does that deal. I can only hope that Kane demands it gets done, or he throws another hissy fit, cabbie beating session.

- moondawg

I would hope that Kesler's value isn't that low.

Teräväinen has proved utterly nothing at the NHL level, let alone anything at the North American level.

As a starting point sure, but i'd assume a roster player would come back as well.

I'm all for trades and mixing up the core, but a fire sale is completely different as we would be a better team for the next 2-3 years with Kes as opposed to Tera in relation to a straight up switch.

Add a Shaw, Leddy, Morin etc and i'm all for it

Kesler straight up for Saad sounds about right

Great player but entitled/arrogant wiener. I would love to see him, Toews or Kane get run from behind and suffer whiplash/concussion or broken back/neck.

I am a guy that looks for the positives. I try to analyze the situation and look for best scenarios.

Here are what is happening so far that has me very excited.

TB out in 4. TB will look for D help. More of a stable stay at home shutdown positional player. We have Tanev and Hammer for that.

LA possibly out in 4.
Dibs on the Stevens HC job

Philly struggling
They need D with grit and can skate.
We have Edler and KB
Also the sooner Philly is out the sooner we can talk to Hextal for Gm position

Detroit struggling to keep Boston in check
They need PMD we have Edler for that.
They also need help in center to shut down other teams so that they can free up Datsuk to play his game. We have Kesler

Was hoping for CBJ to struggle and create a bidding war for Kesler. But I am sure there will be a bidding war if Kesler was made available.

Was hoping for SJ to get bounced in 4 then Tod m would have been fired and we would have had a coach. But I cant say that I am unhappy with LA getting their backside handed to them.

Don't really care about Chi and Stl since neither will move significant players in a trade. Wanted Col to struggle as well and get desperate for Vet D help and would be willing to trade 1 of their many Centers.

Other series

Bieksa to Phi is interesting. I think both parties would be interested. We would need to replace Bieksa's meanness , Engelland could help out cheaply with the fight, but would be a 5/6 guy.

If the return was VERY good I would listen

Terevainen Shaw and a first , nothing less. Ana sure proved last night they could use Kesler. If Getzlaf goes down they look pretty thin.

Etem Ottawas 1 st plus.

I wonder if Bieksa would be interested?

I'm onboard with the trade everyone movement... This team needs to be stripped bare.

We have the meanness in Cederholm. If we move Bieksa we will have space to bring in Corrado. Cederholm can be the 6-7 guy.

I wonder if he has his place in Point Roberts up for sale yet? Here's to hoping...

No way.

What is with the love for Laughton, we have a much better version in Horvat while Gaunce and Cassels play relatively the same game.

"Laughton is two-way center whose primary skills are on the defensive side of the ledger. He is a hard-worker with a consistent approach to the game and plenty of smarts. Laughton is not a highly skilled player and it remains to be seen how he'll develop in this area, but he should be an effective third-line player with some potential for second-line duty."

Sorry for the rant but, i do not agree with the need to ship out guys like Tanev, Hammer and Bieksa as they are the only guys preventing us from turning into a less-offensive version of the Oilers, Islanders and Panthers, not to mention the impact that would pose on our inexperienced rookies goalies.

If the new GM intends on moving any of the above it will signal a total intention to tank over the next 3-5 years...

Moving Hamhuis would be suicide, though i do think the return would be spectacular.

I don't think you have to move everybody out. If we bring in a good GM, then who knows what deals he will be able to swing? If Hamhuis is moved out then maybe we are lucky enough to bring a younger version back? Wondering what Frankie will turn out to be? It looks like he wants to rush the puck.

With the right moves and a little luck, this is just a retool/refresh. We might be able to move out some pieces and get some back and sign a free agent or go with some youth from within... If we are drafting good picks and it looks like some of these guys are going to pan out then I don't mind if we miss the playoffs for another season or so. Just as long as you see youth developing.

Anyone thinking they will blow it up as much as possible and try to start from scratch?
