What are the chances that Torts is back for another season? And if another season that he survives the season?

I really hated seeing the dump and chase on the pp but think Torts will drive some players mad enough to waive their ntc's, but if it is for a whole season like the second half of last season then I may want to sloppily slit my wrists with a rusty nail.

Yeah I agree there will be more ... I understand there is a need to protect the goalie but I feel they are starting to take advantage of a soft rule ...

My issue isn't with the d man forcing him in ... The d man being there just limited his options ....IMO he had a choice and went in to the net over taking out price ... And if he is allowed out right away maybe the goal never even goes in

- Redmile247

You may be right. Not Price's fault though. And he did exploit it a bit. But that whole soft rule angle... there are many of them that happen all the time, delay of game - over the glass, extra 2minutes for blood when sometimes you see the player high-sticked with a huge bruise or welt but not bleeding so it is only 2minutes...
Refs can't turn a blind eye to it... wonder what the instructions were by the league when the rule was brought in?

Players dive
Players chicken wing
Players turn slightly and absorb hits along the boards to draw penalties.
Players slew foot.

For years and years players have been trying to take advantage of the system.

I think he will be given one more chance, but more for the reason of moving contracts.

While I agree with those rules being iffy ... They are more clear cut ... I don't agree with them but they are clear ... Goalie interference is a judgemental call usually

You are talking to the wrong fan base. Burrows /Thomas interference Luongo/Blackhawks . hard to find sympathy amongst Canuck fans.

Yeah I doubt there will ever be a time where we have a flawless system .... I just felt that was a play that resulted in a goal that I had no issue with counting

Carol, Torres scored against the Bruins in regulation of game 1 not in OT.
- Chest Rockwell

Yeah, you're right. My bad.

It was so late in the game, it sure felt like OT.

I'll make the correction, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Well at least your not buffalo having the image of Brett hull scoring while in the crease

Even as a flames fan I've gotten over the gelinas potential cup winning goal in 04

To win the cup you have to be good .... But you also need to catch a few breaks along the way

To be honest the bolts should worry about playing better hockey ....

GT interference on a goal should automatically reviewable by the refs on a monitor in the penalty box. Especially on such an important play in the playoffs.

If you were to review refs missed calls the game would need to be played over two days.

I'm not saying ALL calls. I'm just saying GT interference when a goal is involved. It wouldn't take more than 2 minutes, just another look (by the ref not the war room) to make sure the right call is made.

I don't want to see every call reviewed ... I say much like the nfl does make every scoring play reviewable ... Get the call right ... And then allow a coaches challenge for plays that happen during the flow of the game.

How did SJ outbid Gillis? He went to the Yotes first.

Bylsma -- NO THANK YOU!

- rugdnit

Bylsma deals with big injuries to star players more than anyone and look what he produces. I'd take him. Offensive minded. Star players seem to like him. Youth seems to do well. Only one team can win the cup. What's not to like?

Bad goaltending? Crapping the bed in the playoffs? Not motivating stars like Malkin enough?

He'd fit right in.

Is it Subbans fault he crashed the net in the first place?

Habs would be crazy not to expose it.

Did you see Doughty's Goalie Interference last night? PRICELESS. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Yeah Price has exploited this a few times this year, among other rules. He's a very smart goaltender and on his way to becoming a Top 5 overall goalie in the league

Nylander lighting up the U18 tourney, had 5 points against Slovakia today. I wonder if the Isles take him at #5.

Perlini is also having a great tourney. Maybe Cal takes him.

Calgary hopefully takes Ritchie or Isles take Nylander.

Reason why I hope someone in the top 5 reaches is because I suspect Ehlers won't be picked by the Canucks at #6, just a gut feeling.
