Some players are just untradeable?

How is ROR doing as a Flame?

How original ....the best part is gillis tried to pull a feaster and ROR chose the flames ..... But we don't talk about that around here ..... Thank god avs matched
Could you imagine Monahan on that roster as well

Gaunce HAS to improve his stride or he'll never play as a regular in the NHL, he's really SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I have no idea why he was drafted. I was on here b!tching about it at the time.

There are several different ways/systems to play in the NHL that can yield results, depending on the players at your disposal. Being slow doesn't fit into any of those systems that I'm aware of. If anyone needs a reminder of that, watch highlights of the past 2 games of SJ vs LA. SJ basically blew a well-structure and compact defensive system out of the water with their speed and forecheck.

I think Horvat does as well. Everytime I've watched him play he seems a tad slower than the others out there.

Well I think Gillis rationale was if Gary Roberts can make Cody skate better then he can make Miracles happen with BO and Gaunce. But you cannot teach talent and Skill.

The bait on your previous post was "You guys are crazy if you think you could offer any package to land Matt duchene "

I am sure we could offer some sort of over payment.

Anyone can... Wasn't there discussion regarding one of the teams offering all of their picks at the draft for another player or pick a few years ago?

That bit about ROR, every team in the league would want him for the right price. And the same can be said for just about any blue chip prospect or top 6 forward in the league. Monahan is a keeper and if he was on the Avs, it would be another deadly weapon in their weapons cache.

What a contrast looking at the Avs and Oil. Chemistry is huge.

Maybe, and just maybe, Horvat can find some chemistry with Kassian and possibly Booth on the the third line. Horvat does appear to have some passing ability. Now that we have the third line worked out we can worry about the other three.
