Well, we could trade Hartnell, go back in the time machine, and bring back 2008 Hartnell.

11/12 Hartnell is in the building, and ready for tonight.

Does Raptor Jesus love or loathe Tim Thomas?
- PhillySportsGuy

Raptor Jesus loves everyone, though it's rumored that James Kneel is on his poop list.

Pretty simple I think. If the flyers pp can get back on track, they have a chance. If their not getting good scoring chances on the pp tonight and lose. They are in huge trouble

I saw a stat the other day teams that win game 1 of a 7 games series win somewhere in the neighborhood of 75% of series. Damned right game 1 is enormous. A loss tonight and it's 9 in a row at MSG and it's all they hear the next few days. A split of the first 2 games is imperative, winning game 1 takes a lot of pressure off.

What about 2010 Hartnell and '95-96 Jagr?

But didn't you hear? At some point in the future, he'll be bad, so the logical thing to do is to unload him ASAP.

Always has been. Great pass by Briere, but horrendous coverage mixup by TB. And on the 2nd goal, what an awful play by the Habs player, trying to stop the puck along the wall, leading to the 2 on 1.
- MJL

VL would have had that coverage

Well, playoff 2010 Hartnell okay, not regular season. Heck, let's just grab 94/95 Lindros and call it a day.

I don't think I've ever seen a player like Briere. He consistently scores at a point per game clip during each postseason. I think he's only had 1 point per game regular season too.
- PhillySportsGuy

Yup
the only other guy that I can remember who ramped it up in the playoffs like Briere was Claude Lemieux

Lets go back and work out a trade for Lindros that doesn't involve Forsberg

Were you really surprised? He is a big time money player.
- BiggE

He's a point per game player in the playoffs. I'm surprised Montreal is playing with 4th liners, but Briere is elevating them. Wiese with the game winner? Maybe Rinaldo will get the GWG tonight.

This exact group of players hasn't lost 9 games in a row at MSG. And that streak is ridiculously overblown. Is there such a thing as any playoff game as not being important? Winning game 1 would be great, and so would a split. But even if they lose both at MSG, the series is not over. I think this series is going 6 or 7 games anyway. So the Flyers are going to have to win at least one in MSG. No reason why they can't.

I've always heard that Quebec didn't want Forsberg, they really wanted someone else...can't think of the name though. In the end, the Flyers insisted on Forsberg. Yeah, makes you feel a little worse, huh?

They didn't draft Jagr. So that's not even a moot point, that's a pointless point.

The question of how many with Forsberg? His father is the Swedish Carl Lindros. And Forsberg and Lindros each missed about 25% of their teams' games with injury. Without Sakic and Roy, how many does Foppa win?

The locker room echoes with memories that haunt
From storied careers to one-season jaunts
Bend back time to the days of Daigneault
The magic and mystery of Ville Leino
The peerless dominance of springtime Briere
His glorious fistpump riving the air
Today my mind can't help but drift
To four years ago when I witnessed The Shift
Ten years its been since the boys broke our hearts
(Though not for a lack of that blood-pumping part)
The journey's been long, twisting, quixotic
For every Bernie there's a Roman Cechmanek
From Primeau to Kimmo, the Bullies of yore
My exhilarant soul begins to soar
And I sense the cadence of a familiar hum
Grow loud and menacing as our war drum
Anointing the quest as we stoke the fires
And tremble the walls, howling Let's Go Flyers
