The whole team poop the bed last year. Can't blame only price on this one.
I think the defense can be better than last night as weel. They did create a few turnovers.
There is more depth on this team than last year and since Vanek came, this team showed they can win 5-4 games.
Tampa just lost home ice advantage so I will wait a little bit before being concern. Lindback was way worse than Price in my opinion. He can't control the puck. - deadpoulet
i was speaking about sort of "overall concern", not just concern about this series.
as in, is price turning into a regular season stud/playoff dud type goalie.
i agree that lindback was bad too though. he always looks like he doesn't know where the puck is. it's too bad for tampa that bishop went down |

while i agree that Montreal outplayed Tampa and deserved to win, i think Tampa wins that game with Bishop in net. Lindback is technically brutal. his angles and positioning are wonky and he struggles to control the puck. if i'm Jon Cooper i have him on a very short leash Friday, if i'm not starting the other kid altogether. Lightning will not win this series with Lindback in net. |

Price will be fine. he started getting it together in OT. and it's not like any of the Lightning goals were total clunkers. he's got to be better and i think he will be. |

I disagree I thought lindback played better then price! They put 44 shots on lindback! The 5 hole goal was a bad goal lindback let in. But price 4 goals let in on 25 shots! Lindback 5 goals let in on 44 shots. Are defense was terrible tonight I just can't blame lindback at all. |

Stamkos having two of them points to the fact that there was some skill involved in the shooting. |

i thought Lindback was terrible on the OT goal. he was on his knees, almost IN his net, and you can see his eyes were behind the play. could have been fatigue though. |

So, same amount of goals let in, on 19 more shots...and he was worse |

Thats because Price never delivers in the playoffs...... Look at the stats. He was even benched in 2010. - GOA88
That's because Price HASN'T delivered in the playoffs. Past tense. He's had a very different season this season, and hopefully that was rust he was shaking off. He picked it up later in the game and came up big in OT. |

disagreed. lindback was not the reason for losing at all. although not gret, he was the reason it was tied and going to OT |

Fair point. He just looked shaky. Made some superb saves as well. But he doesn't look comfy at all in there. |

yeah. you're right, I don't want any games
he played good enough to let us win. we didn't provide a good game in front of him. he was far from the reason of the loss. |

He was OK. Not his best performance, but he was ok. I was angry the most on that tip in out front. he could have come out and cut off the angle, the tip woulda had nowhere to go |

True. But even the first goal - he was down very quickly. Same thing on the winner. He's huge and should take advantage of that, as Bishop does. |

the goal radko gudas fell down? how is that his fault? + a perfect shot
the winner, NOBODY was out front, only MTL guy....a guy one times a puck from out front untouched, and its the goalies fault ???
even the tip in goal was not his fault, brewer had HORRID coverage out front on whoever put that in, but he still could have got that I feel
horrible horrible defense from both defenseman and forwards lost this game. not lindback. |

I didn't say those goals were his "fault". What I said was, his positioning was weak. |

of course. getting outshot the way they did in regulation on home ice was mindboggling. |

He came up big in overtime and montreal won.
What about your team's season? - deadpoulet
Typical habs fan. Let's change subject and diss other teams when we have no argument.
I was just pointing the evidence: Price has been performing very well during the season ever since he came in the league, with the exception of the year Halak stole his job because he was on fire.
But he has always sucked in the playoffs. Numbers don't lie. You can't hide it. It showed last year against the Sens and it showed again yesterday.
Had Bishop been there, this would have been a win for the Lightning.
EDIT: About Bishop |
