The teams in on the Kesler trade were Chi Ana Pitt and CBJ, Philly came out at the time and said they are not interested in trading one of the two fore mentioned.

That is why you didn't see their name in the teams perusing Kes.

Best case scenario would be PIT getting knocked out in the first round. If that happens, I think they will take a run at Kesler big time. That, and Blysma could become available.

Ultimately never managed to meet expectations given his coveted physical components, but did tease with a few years of quality productivity. Overall, a serviceable career but so much potential, yet never really being able to crack that elite level.

I think the Flyers are one of the few teams that really makes you scratch your head with respect to many of the moves they make - or DON'T make (case in point - why oh why have they never properly addressed their goaltending issues is truly a mystery )

Edit: the Legion of Doom line was, in my humble opinion, one of the most dominant units in that era (perhaps a case could even be made for ranking it amongst the list of all time greats)

For the last 20 yrs they'd rather have 5 great centers and not worry about talent in any other position. Not sure what they are thinking. Its basically like no nuts running a team, with the exception on the centers part
