Good period from the Jackets. I think Fleury has a weak one in him tonight.

And Neal going behind Bob and giving him a little forearm to the back. What a dbag.

Have to think a bit that Emery's performance will influence whether he returns next season.

Goalie market is weak in the summer so he has that going for him.

Here's a question. Let's say the Flyers win game 1 and Ray Emery has a strong game. And between then and Sunday, Mason is declared ready to play. What should Berube do?

I think the Flyers would love to have Emery back as the backup. Unless he falls on his face, I don't see that changing. I think it's going to come down to is, does Emery want to remain a backup, and what are his salary demands. I think the Flyers are going to have to cut some corners, and what they pay the backup seems a likely spot to cut salary.

If Mason is 100% then I think he should go. But if Emery plays well, don't rush Mason back. Give him time to completely heal up.

I was wondering the same thing. It makes sense to put him in there, but if its a concussion will he play the way e did before the concussion? I feel like it will take some getting used to .

I agree. Well said. Winning game 1 buys some time to rest Mason more if he needs it.

I think bringing him back is the most likely thing, as Heeter doesn't seem too ready.

That market is bare in the summer, and I don't seem him landing a starting gig somewhere.

Depends on Emery's play, and how the team plays. I'd be probably for riding the hot hand, but if Emery just seems kind of average even if they win I would go with Mason.

Concern falls with Mason rushing to come back before he is ready obviously. If or when Mason does return, and I am the other team... I don't focus too hard on avoiding contact.

Agreed, I think if Razor plays well and they win tomorrow, he starts game 2. Even is Mason is cleared by Sunday, they err on the side of caution.

Now when Emery wins em both in NY, do they go to Mason for game 3?

Just as likely that Mason rolls out on Thursday.

Berube fooling everyone.
