They'll have to hose down Pierre after each game

You could have phrased that differently.

If the Flyers get past the Rangers, do we want Columbus to knock off the Pens? I don't know who would play who, but it would be great to meet up with the Pens again.
- MJL

I don't think Columbus could match up with the Flyers in a 7 game series but they would still scare me more than the Pens.

As much as I love beating the Pens, I just can't root for those tools. So I'm pulling for the Jackets
- BiggE

I hope they get knocked on their ass against the Jackets.

If the Flyers manage to overcome, and beat the Rangers I would like to see a Mason vs Bobrovsky duel.

Pittsburgh is fun to play, but a punk team. You will come out of there with injuries from Neal and company.

I know. The Canadian broadcasts assume the people watching understand the game. The American broadcasts assume all the fans watching are the ones yelling "SHHOOOOOTTTTT!"

I guess that makes sense though.

- PhillySportsGuy

Yea, they're probably not far off.

They're that team you assume you'll beat only to realize you're in a game 7 and its anybody's series.

With Emery in goal the Flyers don't have a chance. Why even bother to watch the games?
- MJL

They are entitled to their opinion. I for one think that Emery starting has made the Rangers pretty formidable. I was not happy with Emery's play at all down the stretch and I feel the team plays better in front of Mason. I hope I'm wrong and you're right, but I don't think they win this series with Emery in net. Prone to a bit too many softies and as we have seen (against Devils 2 years ago), a good defensive team with a good goalie will end your season if your goalie is shaky.

I hear you, but it's not so much as rooting for the Pens. But it's wanting them to win the series, so we can knock them out again. That would be so enjoyable.

I've been confused lately without any flyers to watch. Feels like ages since their last meaningful game

Well to be serious, I think Mason is the better Goalie for sure, and gives the Flyers a better shot to win. But I'm not going to sit here and think that the Flyers are screwed, simply because Hockey is a team game. And if the Flyers play well and do what they're capable of, they have an excellent chance of winning the Series. Even with Emery in net. And Emery has pretty good numbers against the Rangers. We'll see what happens when they drop the puck.

I did see that he was 7-2 against the Rangers. And while it is a team game, soft goals by Emery will cause the Flyers to lose as a team, especially if Hank is on his game.

It's hilarious to me watching Flerury exaggerate his gloves saves to make them look more impressive than what they are.. I guess he has to build his confidence up somehow..

We can sit here and list a lot of things that could cause the Flyers to lose as a team. The inconsistency they showed all year. Taking too many penalties. Bad turnovers and puck management. But if the Flyers show up with their A game, no doubt in my mind they can win the series, even with Emery.
