To be honest, high school now isn't as much of a cakewalk as people think. All assignments are posted online, so there is no excuse or extension on anything. All grades are also posted online and your parents are given their own passwords to log in. Therefore, your parents know your daily assignments, your grades and if you've missed a class.

Can you imagine growing up and having your parents know everything about your classes?

When they say "did you do your homework?" They can actually check it and make sure you aren't bullpoopting anything.

- PhillySportsGuy

I was a good kid. I went to class and did my homework. Wouldn't change much for me. When I was a little kid (3rd grade and below), my parents used to actually help me do my homework (without outright doing it for me).

When Boucher blew that Dallas game (I think it was Dallas) by kicking the puck into his own net and we were basically sunk, yes, people wanted Leighton in.

In college, yes, IN COLLEGE, we spent a 2 1/2-hour class going over the differences of the following homonyms:

to, too, and two
there, their, and they're
its and it's (the teacher was actually wrong)
than and then

- jmatchett383

Are than and then actually homonyms if they aren't actually pronounced the same way?

I'm amazed people are still amazed by the gullibility and stupidity of other people.

Think about how dumb the average person is. Now, think about the half that's dumber than the average person.

I'm still mad that untracked has been misused for so long that it's become an acceptable part of the language.

I have thought about that... And, to get back to math, it's not half that are less than average, as the majority are in the average, but the point is taken. And scary.

Technically, no. But they are often incorrectly used in place of each other.

I was the constant underachiever. I would get all B's and my teachers would tell my parents they're disappointed because I never try and do just enough work to get a B.

Yeah, my parents were told I didn't "apply myself" by one of my teachers. I asked them what that meant, and then asked them if they thought I did, and they said yes.

Mind you, I was getting about a 97 in this lady's class at the time.

That's how I feel about you here. I think your posts could be so much better, yet you constantly disappoint me with your slightly above average work.

I became good friends with one of my teachers during senior year and he told me I was universally disliked by most teachers. He said it was because of my "lazy attitude and their inability to discipline me."

Basically, when teachers disciplined me, I just shrugged my shoulders and said whatever. Apparently, they hate that.
