I believe it is called tough love coaching style. This when the vets are royalty and can do no wrong where is the youth is banished for taking 1 extra stride on the way to the bench for a line change.

When we are a cup contending team giving up a couple firsts for a real good young player is fine. When your a bottom feeder those 1sts are your lifeline.

Compensation for 4-5m cap hit is 2 1st a 2nd and a 3rd. Let's look at the leafs for an example of what not to do:
Seguin + Hamilton + 2nd or Phil Kessel.

The only reason I would want STL to be out in first would be for Hitch. But I don't think we have the tools for him. He maybe too old school of a coach. I really hope Trotz goes to Peg and Maurice become available. Or we go opposite direction and get Stevens. We need a young coach that understands the modern day game. Not some Richard like Torts that only know 1 system. I really wish Gilis had hired Kruger instead of Glutz. He was thinking the game at a different level.
