I hope they trade the pick for some legit blue line help or a goaltender. - Cptmjl
If they don't get a legit #1 goalie they will be bottom five next season. Nabby can't be the starter anymore and Cappy is too stupid to see it. Cappy will play him into the ground. |

I lean towards trading the pick for goaltending or dman help at this point. The bigger issue is, I don't think the high end of this draft is seen as having enough value to give up a decent asset to move up. Once again, Snow has made himself a prisoner of a poor market.
Regardless, I don't see any way that this pick heads to Buffalo |

You know what I was thinking the same thing. Nabby is not going anywhere I believe he is the glue in that locker room and everyone loves him so you need that type of person in there. Brodeur actually compared to what we have right now is actually an upgrade for a year or two. I still do hope that they bring in a goalie though but I just don't trust snow at all |

Is this even open to debate anymore? He's keeping the pick. - JimmyP
If he keeps the pick then Snow is more clueless then we thought. NExt years draft is like beast mode. I rather pick next year then this year. This pick means nothing to us at this point |

If Nabby were not here for next season, I'd be fine with Marty and say Nilsson because I think Marty would be a much better mentor than Dunham. Afterall, it was Brodeur who Dunham credited with improving his game prior to his journey to Nashville.
Broudeur wants more than anything to be a starter. I'm sure he'd prefer to go to a contender but I'm willing to bet staying in the area to be a full time starter would make him plenty happy. Especially if he got to open a new stadium in Brooklyn. To get to the floor, the Isles would be more than willing to overpay him for say a 2 year contract and then make their judgement on Nilsson at the end of Nabby and Brodeurs terms.
Bottom line, I don't want this to happen but I can see it being a possibility. I'd much rather we find a long term solution, but there simply may not be one available to us, expecially if Snow doesn't believe in guys like Halak or Reimer. |

there are plenty of options it is just that Snow is not that creative or smart to make those options happened. Listen every player can be traded at any point. It is up to the GMs in the league to figure out how to do that. Garth does not want to break up the team he said and he has been saying for a couple of years that we now have the prospects and picks to make trades for our needs. So far he has failed miserably in that |

I agree that he's definitely not creative. I think this whole rebuild started with a very vanilla process of collecting a team through the draft and then adding pieces once the cupboard was restocked. Well, while he's done a fine job of collecting those prospects, he's shown no competence when it comes to adding experienced players.
I don't need big trades to make me happy with Snow's end product, I need a sign that he will become aggressive and creative in filling the gaps by any means necessary and not just trying to find a diamond in a pile of crap to finish the puzzle.
The bottom line with Snow is that he's here for 2014-2015. So if he's going to somehow make this team a legit playoff team, he must add a goalie and dman at all costs. PERIOD. No more bargain hunting. |

I agree but I have no faith in Snow at all and I don't think the fans do either. I don't get how Wang has faith in him but I guess that is a whole other issue. Until the owner puts a winning team on the ice we will always have problems getting free agents. If it is true that he is going all out to make this team better this summer well he just might have to trade one of our prospects or two to get what we need. You have to give up something to get something.
Also I know that the players say they love Jack but with this team of course they would. Half of the team would not be in the NHL if they were not playing under Jack. I actually think JAck is a horrible coach and I would have been happy if he was let go with the coaching staff and they did nothing with the team. One step at a time. |

Why does Snow still have a job?
The Vanek trade has to be one of the worse trades in recent memory. - Fakepartofme
I guess you forgot about the Gomez trade already? |

Man, Leafs management has really pissed me off over the years, but the boneheads that have run the Isles over the past decade have been a complete joke.
You guys are hardcore fans, good on you!
Taveres is awesome, I hope you're able to get players to play with him.
I thought for sure, you'd re sign Moulson.
I hope it works out for you guys.
Snow needs to be hung! - Fakepartofme
More than not do not want him signed and did not want him resigned. |

I can see it happening. I would only want Marty in a backup role. |

I definitely don't want him here in anything other than a mentor role. Unfortunately, he's looking for a starters role and there's only a handful of teams I can think of that are willing to overpay him to do that. This move is totally in Garth's wheelhouse - keaner17
So sick of this shat. Really at the end of my rope with this team. We all say this to ourselves constantly but I for once mean it. |

Just crazy to think it could happen. No idea why Marty would not want to retire as a Devil? He had a tremendous run. Time to walk away. |
