Idk, I wish I shared the chest thumping optimism some of you guys do about this being a short series. Its the playoffs & this is a rivalry. Throw everything else out the window, the Flyers are a very good hockey team. This will not be easy, hell no.
- B2B76

The teams are 2-2 against each other this season (and one of those wins was when the Flyers were just awful in October). The home ice would seem to give you a big advantage based on the trend of the past three years. But we all know how useless trends are when you get into the playoffs. The teams appear to be relatively evenly matched. But if Mase is broken, all bets are off.

Have any of you that have been to the Garden lately witnessed any of these reported harassment stories? Not calling you a liar Bo but I find it funny that we take hits on the Garden being all "suits" but then is it the suits that are being belligerent because I haven't witnessed these incidents at the games I've gone to? Based on reputations I tend to think that there's a better chance of Rangers fans being harassed at Wells Fargo or getting beaten in front of Geno's like after the Winter Classic

I think the reality has always been the amount of "suits" at Ranger games has always been highly exaggerated, and I actually never understood why people who have $$$ can't be considered hard core fans anyway.

Or the fact that Rangers fans can't come from work in Manhattan wearing suits, there always seems to be a survey being done by Isles and Devils fans at the gate every home game

Can't believe the series hasn't started yet. At least there will be other playoff hockey to watch tonight

Funny you say that, cause I remember a few yrs back Woo had one of his doozies about the "#s of Rangers fans vs "suits" or empty seats. This was a big deal worth reporting to him apparently.

Right!?! Its been 5 days since they played. This scheduling sucks. I know its MSG's Fault but I'm starving for this series. Why would they have so much scheduled during playoff time? If the Knicks didn't suck so bad there would be two teams playing right now, would there be ten days between home games?

I rather win in regulation or OT to get to the playoffs than a skills competition. #NJDevils are built for the playoffs!

One of the main quesiton marks on Bodie is his size, isn't Ghost only 5'11 170lbs as well? Bodie put up 125 points in like 155 games over his 4 years. Yea I like his potential quite fine

If the Flyers don't get superior goaltending, I just don't see them winning the series. Because its a pretty safe bet that Hank is gonna be on top of his game & probably not allow more than 2 a game.

If Hank holds them to 2 goals or less per game, I like our chances big time haha

Scott Hartnell talking about McDonagh:

“Yeah, he’s a little banged up, I read somewhere,” added Flyers left wing Scott Hartnell about McDonagh. “You definitely want to be physical on him. You don’t want to take a dumb penalty or a roughing penalty. You want to be clean and hard on him and make sure he is working hard for every inch of ice out there with or without the puck. Defensively, if we don’t get pucks deep, we will lose this series. McDonagh had a great game the last time in the Garden. He matched up on us. He kept taking the puck away, dispy-doodling and he scored a nice goal. You let that happen against a guy like that and the Rangers, it’s going to be a long night. We have to be a little bit smarter.”
