Too lazy to look it up, is Rinaldo still suspended from that hit last week or did he serve the 4 games already?

So he'll be back, I was wondering if he wasn't in would Downie be a shoe in to dress for the sh!t stirrer factor.

man, downie has looked bad for most of the time he's been back and berube actually named his failure to back check leading to a goal after the tampa game...he sat the last 2 games despite rinaldo's absence so it is unclear what his status is w/ the coach.

Thanks for the write up in the OP.

The Flyers strength is in their offense lead by Giroux who has dominated since December. The Rangers have Lundquist and either he or Rask have been the best goalies in the league this year. While I know the Flyers have a deeper offense I know the Rangers have a deeper defense.

Special teams are essentially a wash.

I would be really surprised if this series went less than 6 games.

K, thanks for the info, can't this get started right NOW?!

Well, not if Brassard is hurt.

No question. I say Rangers in 7, or Philly in 6, cause I just can't see them winning a Game 7 at the Garden, both with the recent home history of the Rangers dominance over the Flyers & the Rangers success the last 2 years in Game 7's.

Good group of Flyer fans in here today. I love Flyers-Rangers, and it has been way too long since they've met in the playoffs. It's going to be a great long series, IMO.

Are you guys gonna sign Ghost? Better not let him go back to school. Degree is nice, but I would rather have him learning in your system and getting that degree over the summers
- TPC

bill meltzer outlined why he believes ghost will sign. who knows what happens but it makes sense for him to sign......unless he really doesn't want to play in philly

If he returns for his senior year, then by the time his season is over around April 2015, he might be close enough to the August 15th, 2015 deadline that he decides to just wait it out and pick any team he wants. That's the only reason I could see him not signing with you guys.

Very nice to see, I've ventured over there in the past to play nice & 95% of them were cool, just talking hockey. During games its way too volatile though, that's when the bad blood on here will spill over, post game after a tough loss too.

he's also risking injury during his senior year, meaning less money.

Maybe, but I don't think that's too much of a risk to deter him from going back for his senior year. Maybe the kid just wants one more year to party his ass off? He'll get a lot bigger and stronger his senior year too focusing a lot on weight training.

or no nhl career......i think this is the most compelling reason bill gave for him to sign: get the bonus and the elc $$ instead of risking injury with little to prove in ccollege

generally senior athletes on a pro track probably aren't going at it like a freshman phys ed major fratboy.....he seemed pretty level-headed and the risk/reward of no nhl contract v. signing now seems too great. esp since the money is capped if he waits; every team will be offering the same money so it won't be like a bidding war for him

Eh, IDK. Hell, there are pros in the NHL that still party like fratboys (Richards and Carter a few years ago, Kane still, Malone, etc.)

I've heard some stories from my buddy that went to BC about Kreider...

It's college. Who the (frank) didn't party in college at some point? What made Richards and Carter and Kane bad is that college is over buddy, grow up.

Honestly, they all have Stanley Cup rings. If the Rangers won the Cup, I would care less if the entire roster did jello shots off of midget strippers while high on X.
