For as annoying as he is he a really good hockey mind,especially with junior and prospects. If the rebuild goes then he may be a great asset.

I'd say he would make a good scout or ahl/rebuilding team coach. I could see him getting fleeced in trades (although thanks to gillis' hard work we're kind of used to that now)

It was rigged for me. I got carolina 4x before I saw the canucks up there once. Only saw buffalo a handful of times. Edmonton was almost every other attempt

So out of 10 tries it falls more or less within the realm of percentages and obviously top heavy for the top 3:

Panthers x 3

I don't share your optimism for those 3 as a unit. Kassian can't pass like a top 6 playmaker would need to be able to if Kane and Kesler were the other guys on his line and I can't remember ever seeing a successful 1st line that "pounded teams into submission" to get their points without being able to pass effectively.

Unless he's skating with Henrik Sedin or a different center I don't see us getting full value out of Kane.

Kassian hasn't been given a top six role to even know what he can do. The one time he did get a top six role AV promptly dropped the guy down to the 4th line cuz he had the balls to score 5 goals in 7 games or something like that....

It's 50/50 the Canucks get 1st overall.

Horvat needs to be in the line-up and I think the roster you made looks to close to this years...there should be some major shake-ups.

Why try for different results with pretty much the same but a year older, 6th worst team in the league?

I expect that if some players with ntc's don't waive, we end up like Calgary...struggle as a 7th-10th team for 3-4 years before we finally start a rebuild.

That line up is already shaken up with Kassian in the top six, Jensen in the top 6 and Kane in the top 6. That's 50% of your top six shaken up and not stirred :-)

How much more shaking is required. Dropping Daniel down to the 3rd line gives that line a legit scorer for Matthias to work with and significantly improves are depth on the bottom six, same goes for the 4th line with Higgins and Richardson. I could see the bottom six taking advantage of other teams bottom two lines.

Kane Kesler and Kassian would be a formidable top line drawing the big minute top pair dmen, leaving Hank to create with burrows and Jensen against the second rate dmen. Hank makes top pair dmen look bad with his sick passes. imagine what he'd do against lesser players...

Lack and markstrom have the potential to be amazing tandem as early as next year.
