What did you guys think of Dalpe?

Personally, I thought he looked good with what little top six time he got, showed good speed, used his size and has demonstrated some decent play-making/passing ability though his shot is weak and inaccurate.

With him being 24 i wouldn't mind keeping him around, however with Mattias he becomes a little redundant.

He was on their wing, which was more my point. Kesler's not much of a distributor.

Regardless, getting Kane to slot alongside him wouldn't change the fortunes of this team too much. Shipping him out in a package for 2 budding youngsters, one of whom can probably occupy the 1C post in the very near future, that's a far more effective retool strategy IMO.

If a team has "2 budding youngsters, one of whom can probably occupy the 1C post in the very near future" they wont be trading them for Kesler, which is why IMO he wont be going anywhere. Move him to the wing, that would be one hell of a right side Kesler, Kas, & Jensen.

A team that sees themselves as a key piece or two away from contender status might be inclined to make such a deal. See my previous posts. I explain the reason why I think MIN might be inclined to do so.

I suspect that if the Canucks plan to follow the "Boston Model", they will be looking at drafting Ritchie or Virtanen....

At 6, I'm partial to Nylander tho.....

1 goal 3 assists and plus 6

My apologies, I read somewhere he had Zero assists. Maybe they were referring to after the round robin.

Why is no one talking about Virtanen. Local kid, one of the youngest players in the draft. Just a beauty!

I think one of the top five will slide to number 6. Ehlers or Ritchie might slide into the top five.

Everybody wants the next Lucic, and thats what people think Ritchie is. The kid is 6'3 240 and in desperate need of NHL calibre power skating coach.

We have Kassian, I think its best we stay away from Ritchie....we need a playmaker.....

Virtanen would be good for the 8 spot, better options should be there at 6.

Don't know how i would feel about trading the likes of Horvat, the 6th overall plus ( as i'm sure that's what it would take) for what is arguably a one dimensional player who is a d-bag at that.

Decisions decisions...

Suggested this last week.
Hansen, 1st this year and Shink

for

Kane and 2nd this year.

Best part of pressers: Team core on stage says they believe in the core and defends torts. Torts goes on and rips the core.

Great snapshot of just how off the coaching and players were this year.

Craig Button has Virtanen at #41 on his list.

For a team that didn't seem to play for Torts at times, sure seemed focused on deflecting blame away from him.

Love how Cassels was in on so many plays. May as well trade for Laughton from Philly too!

One side is being honest, the other is reading from their PR cue cards. Not hard to decipher which was which.
