One last thought, was that the same goaltender that played last night? Way less movement tonight, he looked decent, but it was the Flames I guess.

turning when a guy is about to hit you isn't the smartest thing in the world...Byron is 160 pounds if it was someone else Sedin likely doesnt make that move

unfortunate incident, hope he is okay

thanks for the 4th overall pick canucks!

- flashfire

What are talking about turning? Byron saw his numbers 5-6 feet away from the boards.

I wonder what a 1st overall pick feels like... how many teams have never had a 1st overall before? Certainly not many who have been around as long as we have

Just saw Torts post game media scrum, if he doesn't come back next year that was the best way to go out.

Don't like his system, but the guy is awesome otherwise.

My only flaw with Torts is that he was not allowed to be himself but rather a version of himself to appease the organization's reputation. I would have must rather seen him be the Grand Mouthpiece is and win or lose than see him neutered.

As for his style, maybe it is the easy correlation between ice time of core players and injuries to core players that was his downfall after all.

Does anyone believe the 'theory' that Burke or Hartley have a serious personal issue with the Canucks and play a violent and disrespectful game? Something much deeper than the game itself.

Anyways, that's just my thoughts, my humble opinions. Please do not sue me Burke, it is only a observation. I have no proof, this is only fan speculation and has no correlation to your actual and/or real persona and does not fall under the guise of slander. I am sure you are a very lovely man who just forgot to tie a tie.

Again.... my comment about his tie is not slander.

But the fact that he publically stated he does not want the GM job yet, according to team 1040, has not yet started looking.... that's weird.

The fact that he didn't stay with the team and travel back to Pt Roberts everyday for practices ,says something about his commitment. When you let others run something you are suppose to be responsible for ,does not always work out.

Pt Roberts is an ok place but to waste that much time traveling back and forth just to be in America tells me he may not be suited for the Vancouver job.

He was a character ,but that does not have to mean it is a good thing. I still don't blame the coach entirely for this meltdown , he just sped up the process.

It's not Hartley or Burke who have any issue with the Canucks, yet torts who has a personal issue with Hartley ... Torts pretty much all but admitted that in his post game pressor

I like his personality as well, but his systems sucked. The clowns on 1040 this morning are salivating over Trotz being available.
