Wow. You're just not that friendly , are you? - Jeropotato
I guess it all started with him not wanting to give up a valuable asset for kane. but instead just add 7 mediocre pieces thinking that somehow equals value.
I disagreed.
he can call it trolling all he likes. but im right. and he's wrong |

Exactly.. and even when there is competition.. like CBC.. they let the taxpayers take the hit. They are FINALLY starting to make changes... but does anyone watch CBC other than for HNIC? Little Mosque on the prairie anyone? - TimThomasLunge

Would anyone be satisfied with this? Did we fire Gillis?
The only difference between that lineup and the one today is a healthy Mike Santorelli. Maybe with a different coach we could make the playoffs, but I still want a bit more change in our forwards.
I don't have any real argument with who plays where on your lines if that is our roster. I'd be curious to see what a whole season would playout like with that roster and a new coach too.
I guess all this fits? I wonder how it will work/performance/icetime? A 1st line and the rest are 3rd lines? The third line has been effective of late too with all three playing relatively well. At least you could roll all four lines.
edit: I do agree with you on the rookies needing time to develop, and more change is needed. - hillbillydeluxe
The big difference is system. The coach f*d up the program that caused all the injuries, burrows leg, schroeder leg, garrisson groin, edler head (we can agree he's got something wrong up there), daniel leg, hank ribs & other parts, etc.. etc...
I'll blame everything this season on Gillis and Torts. I'd like to see what these guys can do with a coach who can make in game adjustments and has a system that works for these guys.
The guys can play, just Torts screwed them over.
Edler/ Hamhuis
Garrison/ Bieksa
Stanton/ Tanev
Of all the Canucks, the only guys I'd like to see gone are Edler and Hansen. I'd like to see what the rest of them can do with a coach and system. Kassian/ Matthias/ Richardson/ Booth have all showed they've got more to give. Booth was out of whack all year until lately. His ankle/leg injury really takes about a year to heal and he only started to skate better around that time near the end of this season.
If the Canucks want to follow the Detroit model, they can't be rushing young guys up until they are ready. look at Nyquist as an example or Tatar, etc.. they let them geett better and stronger in the A until they are ready and seasoned. that way they get 3 full years of the rookie contract when they can actually play and not burn a year like the Canucks did with Corrado for no good reason.. |

I get what you say and agree with much of it; however, am a little surprised that you would throw out Hansen as one of the guys you'd like to get rid of. The guy is one of the best utility players out there. He's a fantastic third line player, plays PK, and PP when/if needed, he has blazing wheels, pretty good hands, brings it night in and night out, consistently dishes out hits and his offensive skills continue to improve. So, what is the deal? I would have absolutely zero problem with Hansen coming back next year.

Hard to get a sense for anyone right now. Had a nice wrap around. Noticed a few times but it's hard to focus on this game. |

Like exactly the kind of player we want on this roster if we want a good shot at McDavid next year |

He's looked aggressive in the O-zone, solid along the boards, and isn't a minus yet. He's been skating pretty hard, too. Not much standing out, but sometimes that's an OK thing. |

thats why I wanted wings to trade for edler. i believe if we get him here, put him with Babcock and on a team with lots of other swedes he will excel and would easily be able to play in the top 3 with Kronwall,Ericsson,Dekeyser.
