Freak injuries happen though... so I ask again... Why play him against a soft Leafs team? Surely Lindback would have jumped to fill the void and your starter could have rested. - mlindsay
I question the call playing Bishop too but I'm not the coach so I don't know what's going on in his head. After the game Cooper stated that it was going to be bishops last game tomorrow night and then get rested for the last two. I guess they just waited just a little too long before they stop playing him. Crap happens! |

This team has faced adversity all season. This Bishop injury is just another obstacle. Either way the experience we gain in the playoffs will be invaluable over the next few years. If you ask the '04 Cup team what made them believe, it was the '03 playoff team and really the series in the 2nd round against the Devils. We played them close but lost 4-2 with 2 OT games and the Devils went on to hoist the cup. Hopefully this year can be a similar learning experience, especially for all of the youngsters to get a taste of playoff hockey. And as we all know, if you make the playoffs anything can happen. |

I'm fully confident in Lindback, the game we saw last night is his game, if he can bring it each game, I have zero concern. Lindback has potential, and it has been coming out his last few starts, he will never get a better opportunity to prove himself as he has now, so if he doesn't do it, i'd be surprised. He's fully capable.
He didn't play the puck much last night, that's not his game, I was happy. Too many times this year I feel hes been trying to mirror bishop in playing the puck and doing stuff away from his style. LAst night he stuck strictly to his style, which is kind of like Rinne's, and he did perfectly fine, shutout. |

A sens fan, of all ppl, should know this is wrong. Spanked the sens all year, spanked the bruins all year. The Habs are just fine in physical games. Plus that's not the TBL's game. Habs/Bolts are quite similar except Bolts have Stammer and Habs have Price. It should be a 6-7 game, go either way series - SmielmaN
Spanked the Sens all year?! Really!?
Habs won 3 games and Sens won 2.
2 of the habs wins came in OT, Sens 1
Sens scored 4 goals in ALL 5 games against each other!
Goal differencial is 21-20 in habs favor! WOW! 1 more goal then us...what a spanking!
Edit: Spanking is what the Sens did to the habs in last year's playoffs! |

The plan was to call somebody up, I'm just surprised it's not Desjardins. I wonder if he'll get the second half of the back-to-back coming up? |

Cooper was very, very cautious in describing where Bishop is at. Doesn't sound as if the Lightning really knows when he might be available.
Thomas R. Fernandez @trfernandez2190 1m
Per Cooper the MRI showed no structural damage hence why Bishop might be available after reassessment #TBLightning |

I have somewhat of a mixed feelings over this. On one hand I really, really, really, really, what bishop for the playoffs. However I feel that Lindback deserves one last shot at redemption. |

Lindback is going to have to work, because bishop is hurt. |

Cedrick is an AHL caliber goaltender. Beyond that there really shouldn't be anything surprising about this move

Based on the amount of "heart" your team showed last night, I truly have to believe that the entire Leafs team is made of glass. What a (frank)ing joke. You guys had to win to stay "alive" yet they skated around like ballerinas on the rag
