That makes perfect sense if I was a voter and had no interest in separating from Canada. - pete26
It makes sense to them, because they don't follow the politics much and didn't know a referendum wouldn't happen, but they bought what Couillard was saying. |

Should be close. Daniel Breton is as close to QS as you'll get in the PQ. |

Thing is though, it's not like your asking people to change their allegiance from GM to Ford. You are talking about breaking up a country like Canada, that with all its flaws, is still a pretty (frank)ing great place to live IMO. The world has changed since the 70's and 80's. Quebec is better off within Canada and vice versa as well. |

PKP has star power but really, is he known for his "team first" approach? I don't see him being able to play nice. I guess it will be on the party to define what they want to be going forward. - Cyberhabs
Until they decide to talk about sovereignty on a daily basis, demonstrate the pros and cons and educate the population, it doesn't really matter who's in charge. |

I didn't catch it. Well let's hope Bolduc gets the ministry, would be fun to see the deception le gros Barette's face. |

Meh, most of the analysis I've read said that if it was elected, PQ was doomed because you'd have non-referendum people on one side and referendum-now-reaching-their-limit on the other. |

Habs are carrying the flag for Canada in these playoffs. good luck to them.
I hope they make it to the finals and win (unless they by some miracle face the Canucks).
Hopefully everyone in Canada gets behind the Habs, considering they are the most popular team in the country including outside Quebec. |

Not just 'them' QP, to the majority that voted.
You can't say a referendum wouldn't have happened , especially if the PQ got the majority.
That would just say to them, that the majority must want to separate if they voted for a separatist party.
Come on QP, you're smarter than that.

Is there even agreement within the party of what that would entail? I think that constitutional change on the national scale would be warranted, but I think that is an entirely separate debate. |
