I really don't care what line you call it, but Vinnie and BSchenn should both play center.
Berube is going to roll whichever line is working and change the lines around according the game situation.
Put Vinnie with Raffl and Rinaldo, call it line 2C, whatever, who cares - Marc D
Makes you think that a center might get moved this offseason. I like being so strong down the middle (I believe that's a great way to win a Cup), but if Vinny keeps playing like the past couple days, he just deserves better line mates. You can't justify keeping him there long term. |

A couple of things. Flyers are playing really good Hockey for the most part down the stretch. But there have been a number of plays where the Flyers are caught watching the puck in the defensive zone, and leaving players open. Happened today on the Meszaros goal. That has to be cleaned up
And secondly, it's hard to be critical because he's had a strong Season. But Giroux was not that good today. And he wasn't good against the Rangers or against LA. He has to be better against top teams if the Flyers are going to do anything. |

well if they can get pack a top pair two way D then I'd be in favor, as long as the guy coming back is a similar age to the guy going out |

funny to read all the positive comments about Vinny. A week ago he was probably the most-criticized player.

G was matched up against Bergeron's line a lot, which is a tough match up for sure, but if they are going to go anywhere the Flyers need to win those kind of match up's
Couts did a great job playing mainly against Krejci and Lucic, but for big parts of the game Bergeron's line seemed to dominate the Flyer's #1 line |

he really looks much more comfortable playing center
and you know he may be just getting back to feeling 100% again |

Just this month he has a 2 point game against St Louis, a 2 point game against Chicago (including an OT GWG), and 2 consecutive 2 pt games against the Pens
EDIT: last month he had a 3 pt game against San Jose and a 2 pt game against LA |

he was actually hitting a wee bit today, either he's feeling better or he's trying to keep up with rinaldo |

Yep, that's what the Flyers need from him. And it's not just about points. He wasn't very threatening today, and didn't make a lot of plays on the PP.

So, I spent this cold and rainy weekend at my daughters dance competition in Lancaster. Stuck in a crappy hotel in Lancaster. Watching dance. In Lancaster. There was a bright shinning light at the end of the tunnel, tho...Flyers/Bruins waiting for me on DVR when we got home. Had it all setup. Checked to make sure I had it set to record NBC not CSN. Made sure to set it to extend the recording time an hour so I wouldn't miss anything if it goes to overtime. The dance competition ended, awards were given out (my daughter and her team did great) and we were on the road back to Philly by about 2:00. Got a text, all caps, from my son at around 3:00 asking if I was watching the game...so I figured something good must be happening. Got home at about 3:30 and settled in for a great game...love watching a game on DVR...skip the ads...skip the intermission...and it was a pretty great game...until 1 minute and 3 seconds left in the third when my recording ended! WTF! I set the damn thing for an extra hour! It didn't even make it to the end of regulation! |

he made a beautiful play in the first, that rush up the ice and pass to Kimmo at the end of the period to take a 2-1 lead
and getting the puck across the crease for the third goal

he really does ... glad Berube didn't keep forcing him to the wing, like the team did with Briere, even when it's obvious it's not working. |

He could probably be effective playing the right side. But he's not going to displace Simmonds or Voracek. But unfortunately, he's not good on the left side.

A couple of things from being at the game...
1. I saw MJL posted that Giroux didn't have that good of a game today from being there I would disagree.
2. The person that had the heart attack was in section 112/113 which was directly across form where I was sitting..it was tough to watch..you could see them giving CPR
3. Mason needs to make the save on Chara and Bergeron. I realize that Chara has the longest reach of anyone in the league which helped with that goal but still.. That being said, Mason made some key saves throughout..
4. Rinaldo hammered Iginla.
5. Rask is so good.
6. Giroux had a ridiculous move in the shootout.
7. Voracek had Rask beat if he held another second on the shootout.
8. The D gave up way too many quality chances against a team like the Bruins. |

It was in between periods.
They collapsed in the row and you knew it was serious because as soon as they got him into the hallway next to the seats they started CPR right away. |

my only disagreement is on the Chara goal ... that was a perfect shot in off the post, and with that reach there aren't too many goalies stopping him. |
