I prefer someone else with more nhl experience. Not that it matters so much since he would be bottom pairing. If he takes less than $1m, sure. Otherwise he bolts to khl.

The faulk contract is pretty brutal, they are hoping on a wing and a prayer that it seems like a steal 2 seasons from now. Granted I have never been sold on the guy so to me hes just an average 2nd pairing guy, could be a top pairing guy one day if he reaches his full potential. 3 average seasons shouldnt lead to a pay day but the Canes are brutal at over paying

TBH Marincin is moving his way this season to being our best dman - how (frank)ing sad is that- a rookie FFS.... Petry sucks balls, as does Jultz... If we give Jultz 5million- MacT may as well plan to resign... THat would be likely dumbererererer than signing Eakins for HC...

He's a good defender. I'd take him any day to play with Edler. Send you Garrison+Schroeder for him. It'll give you size down the middle

Relative to the rest of the Oilers defencemen? Yeah, he does alright then.

Whoever is paired with Petry is consistently the guy I've seen Oiler fans call "a good defencemen" while poopting on Petry.

Then Belov/Ference/Whoever don't play with Petry and "MAN BELOV (frank)ING SUCKS WHO CARES IF WE RE-SIGN HIM!"

I feel like this is the reason MacT will sign him to a huge unwarranted contract. I think he's got huge potential, but he's 23 now. Time to progress big time. Doesn't help that he's playing 1/2 minutes when he's at best a #4 Dman right now
