Dont think the Jets would be selling off players for a bunch of picks and prospects, they would want value back. Dont think guys like Grabner, Bailey will get it done.

Okposo would have to be in the deal to make it worth for the Jets, why would they move Kane signed long term for peanuts. And it would be dumb for you to move him as well, its a dumb thought by Ek.

But Jets moving Pavs to the Islanders makes more sense

EK does NOT think about these trades. He just reports what he supposedly 'hears'... i would venture from his Eastern sources, cuz it seems quite apparent he has no sources in the West (meaning west of the BC / Alta border down to mexico following the Rockies).

The only time he seems to have any insight into anything to the west of the Rockies/ BC-Alta border is when some team source in the East gives him a tidbit of information.

Although I have to say quite clearly Eastern media (ie: Toronto) have no clue what goes on in BC and area. The only people who know what's happening in BC are people who actually live there.
