Nelson or Lee appear to have the size and skill for the 1st line. I'll take my chances on them. Kane is not the #1 need. If the Isles can add Kane and fill in all the other holes and have enough prospects left over than fine.

I think what my fellow Sabres fans are saying is that the Islanders do not have enough talent that the are WILLING to part with for those two. Just a guess though. It would take their other firsts (which I doubt they'd really like to move) and one of their young top three prospects for Kane (also someone who I don't think they'd like to move). So, looking at it that way, it prolly won't happen.

Isles are a goalie and a coach away from being a force. While our defense isn't the greatest, its also not as bad as it seems, our goaltending is horrendous. Our offense is more than capable of compensating for mediocre defense. Without JT this team still is scoring 4 plus goals a night. Some playoff teams would kill for that production.

Well in all fairness ours are starting to turn out albeit at a slower pace then I'd like to see. Nelson, DeHaan, Strome and Lee are looking real good. Not saying this bcs I'm a fan either.

No way the Isles are trading KO after the year he is having. If they do trade for Kane it will be for Kane-JT-KO line.

Kane would be ideal b/c he has 5 years left on his contract and is an All-star.
Buff doesn't solve the D problems. An neither solve the Goalie problem.

As I said earlier, scoring is not the issue. Most teams would dream to score as much as the Isles do. Our problem is goaltending and coaching.
