gotcha thats code for Reimer and Phaneuf - DDM-Coga
It may come down to trading for a Reimer with the Isles having very little luck in signing FA's. I would not mind brining in Reimer for the right price. Isles want any chance in signing some of these FA's they better have a better coach in place. |

WTF is this bullpoop? Vanek all over again? We have plenty of scoring I don't understand it.
For arguments sake, I'd do strome + a draft pick (maybe a first) and that's as much as I'd offer. Tops. Otherwise there's no need. |

I actually would be fine with this for the right price. The way this season may go for them that price may not be so high. |

That's not enough for both players. At a minimum I would ask for okposo and a pick. |

I would not even offer that. If the Isles have not learned they need a proven goalie and a good Vet Dman and proven coach then they are beyond hope. They do not need a star winger. Lee or Nelson can do fine with JT and KO. They need a good vet dman to help out guys like Reinhart and Dehaan and a #1 goalie. A coach with a good d system will do wonders as well. |

They have all of those draft picks now. That equates to instant talent. |

Reimer will be moved, probably for around the same package that Bobrovsky, a 2nd and 4th round pick. The value on Reims is so low bc of the bad press, team fallign in the standings, etc, wont be a big return on him even though he isnt a bad goalie |

I think what my fellow Sabres fans are saying is that the Islanders do not have enough talent that the are WILLING to part with for those two. Just a guess though. It would take their other firsts (which I doubt they'd really like to move) and one of their young top three prospects for Kane (also someone who I don't think they'd like to move). So, looking at it that way, it prolly won't happen. |

Both teams blow. lets get that out of the way now. You need some defensive youth to step and and we need the same on offense. Dont really know if Nilson or Poulin is the answer in net though. You realize every team will be looking at Okposo and Strome to pry away and not even snow is dumb ebnough to do that. and no way you give up that 2014 pick to another team cause you would have none in 2015 if that goes to sabres then.
Enough with the crap. Your youth steps up next year or youre in the cellar again. Hiller cant save this team by himself.
As for the Sabres we are happy to have one of your 1st rd picks and are taking the 3-5 rebuild. we have enough talent already. I believe we are ranked in top 5 in prospects.
Again its all about the youth and how they are developed... |

I think the Isle will get him for a 3rd and 5th in the offseason. after that they need to decide who will step ip thi year and who they can go after in FA |

This is a move the Isles need to make at the draft and not this Jets deal. Have Reimer in place in case you strike out with an FA goalie. The big move the Isles need to make is with the coach. Isles have a proven coach and make some smart pickups and they will be fine with the prospets they have. |

I think the return may even be less. It sounds like a bad situation btn Carlyle and his agent and him. I'd gladly take him. Young and has skill. He won't be under the spotlight like he was in Toronto and the starting job would be his to lose. Sounded like a good fit to me after the Bernier trade which I bought up at the time. I could actually see it happening. |

Well in all fairness ours are starting to turn out albeit at a slower pace then I'd like to see. Nelson, DeHaan, Strome and Lee are looking real good. Not saying this bcs I'm a fan either. |

Two troubled players in Brooklyn... no thanks.
Kane will be a mess in the big city... and you will never get Buff out of the pizzeria's.
He would be 500 lbs!!!

Sort of do what the Oilers did, trade for cheap 2 goalies that at one time were starters and let them compete for the job in a 1A 1B system.
Reimer is a good start, maybe Lindback from the Lightning, or give a guy like Elliott an offer on the UFA market |

Nelson or Lee appear to have the size and skill for the 1st line. I'll take my chances on them. Kane is not the #1 need. If the Isles can add Kane and fill in all the other holes and have enough prospects left over than fine. |
